This is the Carter Masa 1991 model gas engine
I first saw this in 1988 when the Philippine auto market witnessed the emergence of Pinoy AUV makers Like Carter Motors.

And while they are Pinoy made they are not 100% pinoy made because the engines are still normally Japanese surplus...

They are still alot of these vehicles moving around (especially in the provinces)and still very serviceable.
Especially, Castro, Carter and Panther with their famous double cab pick up with analok enclosure...
The FMC Harabas and Pinoy I and Pinoy II AUV are still running and servicing the Vito Cruz (near DLSU-M)-CCP Complex route...
In our place beat up but still running Pather AUVs are still servicing the Imus-Lawton route...
Reminds me of the good old days of the Philippine mainstream AUV market...

A Mitsubishi Adventure look alike.
Newly Assembled..2008..
Shows that e can easily revive those Castro/Carter AUVs if only there is a market an a willing investor...
I think this was made in Valenzuela or Cavite by local AUV fabricator.
with an adventure glx 1998 headlight and grill
The interior is made of discarded Kia Pride Dashboard and Instrument panel and second hand car seats...
The steering wheel came from a Kia pride LX...
