Well, I can't say Peugeot was sorely missed considering the cars they sold in the PH before (206cc and 307). Considering the price of their cars, will they ever be taken seriously?

Lets see what will be their new strategy this time around. Where-as they tried to sell their lower end variants at expensive prices, they might opt to sell their mid to high end variants to help "justify" the expensive prices.

The comapact car market here is cornered by the industry stalwarts. They can come back (Peugeot), but first they'd have to study carefully how they would package their brand here. The filipino buyer is a very different animal than the european ones.

Both the 3008 and the RCZ share its 1.6L THP petrol engine with BMW. Has a twin-scroll turbocharger, which reduces significantly the turbo-lag, and direct injection. But the best ones are the HDi diesel engines, which are often also sourced to other manufacturers such as Ford.

Was the 307 back there sourced from France? It was also assembled in China, which could be a more cost-effective option.

naka display ngayon this model sa sm cebu, * 1.4 m, i think its very competitive, 1.6 diesel engine
BTW i think 3008 ang model nito

That 1.6HDi engine leads to an impressive fuel-efficiency, and doesn't feel underpowered in spite of only developing 110hp.

its probably the torque that you are feeling. which is the nature of diesel engines. high torque output at low rpm. their low rpm nature is the reason why it only produces 110hp
