About LinkBacksHi. May whining sound kasi yung Civic 02 namin kapag tinapakan yung accelerator pedal; naka neutral man o drive. Ano kaya ang posibleng problema? Baka may mairecommend din kayong gumagawa? Tapos naman na yung warranty, so ok lang na ipagawa na sa labas. Thanks.

turn off lights, radio....use a "hose stethoscope" kung gusto mong hanapin sa engine bay yung source ng sound...ingat lang at baka mahagip ng belt...

Re: Civic Whining Sound Ay, sorry for the vague question. My bad...
Bale yung whining sound galing sa engine area. Kapag tinapakan yung accelerator pedal, instead na yung usual growl lang nung engine, may kasabay na high pitched/whining sound. Kahit hindi todo yung tapak, kahit hindi hirap yung engine o mataas ang RPM, nandun parin. No upgrades done sa sound system, on/off yung stereo walang effect. Hindi rin lumalakas kapag kinabig to the left/right yung manibela, dati kasi nagkaroon ng mas mahinang sound na medyo hawig nung sa ngayon, tapos power steering fluid pala ang culprit.
Nung huling checkup nito sa casa bago matapos ang warranty, yung isa sa mga mechanic napansin yung sound, so chineck lang niya para magkaroon ng idea. Hindi ko maalala kung anong fan yung tinukoy niyang possible na culprit, aux/related sa aircon, something like that. Pahapyaw lang niya sinabi, hindi kasi kasama sa usual na dapat gawin.

Re: Civic Whining Sound belt slippage yata yan sir. either you have loose drive belts or worn out belts. ako 10 year old na yung civic ko once pa lang ako nagpalit. as for the power steering, meron nga talagang sound yun kapag nakaliko, that means to say your power steering pump is working.
fan? electric ang mga fan for the cooling system at a/c. i wonder what fan that is.?
