halloooooooo po! meron pa kayo alam na acdelco battery dealer aside from casa? asked na sa thunder pero out of stock daw sila (both branches) and they dunno kelan pa magkakaroon. 4.5k sa thunder while sa casa nasa 6k! anyone of u guys tried using local batteries like motolite on their astra? tnx in advnace po!

If you really like an AC delco battery, try in PRICE SMART S&R.
But in my opinion, di maganda ang AC DELCO.

I recently replaced my battery and got a DEKA Brand. The Battery Store is located across TROPICAL HUT near Quezon Ave. It is on the same road as Hans BMW. They also carry other high-end car batteries for European cars like the DETA. They are all Calcium Batteries.

i replaced my stock battery when it gave up after 2 years with a motolite. Oks lang sya and it also gave up after 2 years. My 3rd battery is outlast pero maintenance type. Cant wait to replace it kasi i usually forget to check the battery

Sorry, hans pal na type ko. But Hahn Manila BMW.

Just look for the National Bookstore-Mercury Drug Quezon Ave. You will see Tropical Hut beside Mercury Drug. From there take the first right turn. You will see Battery Systems. It is a Battery store beside an Electric Motorcycle Store.

I forgot how much I paid for it. But as far as I know, the price is about P500-P800 more expensive than a normal battery (Motolite).

Madaming magandang battery brands on the market aside from DEKA. The best is VARTA batteries. This is a Calcuim battery. My Varta battery installed on my other car is about 5 years old already and is still charging like new.

eto po ba yung center cap ng mags ng astra? yung mags na parang star ang design (5-spoke), the one where you can't see the lug nuts? mura lang pala ito...

No, we are talking about the plastic bolt covers. This is from the mags with an exposed bolt design specifically from the newer 2001 astras. Old vectras and Zafiras. If you are looking for the center cap, mahal yon kung original from the Casa. Unless sa Banawe "nakaw" mo kukunin.

A lot of people who never owned an OPEL do not know that this car has this bolt cover. It actually looks very nice although madaling matanggal.

ahhh, ok sir! yung naka-clip lang sa mags pala like the one i have on mine. dali nga lang nakawin nito basta meron kang flat-head screw driver. thanks for clearing that up sir.

I went to banawe yesterday hoping to find some OPEL parts.

WALA!!!

Before, about 3 years ago, may surplus shop near nankai in banawe that has OPEL surplus. Vectra and Astra tail lights, switches, body parts, suspension parts, side mirrors, gauges etc... Well, nagsara na yung shop and di na din alam ng mga katabi nya kung saan lumipat or nag-close business na totally.

Kahit sa FRONTE, wala na masyadong importation ng OPEL parts. sa New Wilco naman, nagpalit na. Puro mitsubishi na ang tinda nya. Per order lang ang parts nya and sa tingin ko, baka hiramin lang kay thunder yung mga pyesa para tubuan ako.

So in short, kay thunder lang talaga ang pag-asa natin.

gusto ko rin try sa araneta avenue one of these days kc medyo madami din ako nakita gm/ opel logo na car shop dun. i onced browsed the yellow pages and found a few din, mostly sa binondo pero thunder ang the best sa presyo talaga.

malapit ng mag 30k miliage ng astra ko.. and ipapa service ko na po... san kaya ok mag pa-service? casa? o sa labas na lang? and ano-ano po ba usually pinapalitan sa 30k service?

sir bino, naka indicate yan sa manual kung ano recommended na papalitan; if i am corek, nasa bandang likod yun, last time ko nasilayan manual ng astra. nawala ko kc yung akin, pero usually check/ palit belts ka. what i did before was call the casa and ask kung ano gagawin service/s sa car tapos pa-quote na ako magkano, then papatingin ko na lang kay elerick yung mga advice ng casa.

Ako din malapit nang mag 30T. I assume the things to change, aside from engine oil and oil filter
1) fuel filter
2) Air Cleaner
3) Spark plugs
4) if you have AT. changing the ATF fluid is OK for peace of mind.

DO IT YOURSELF
1) Clean the valve body


I think the belts should be changed by 60T kms.

ganun pa rin boss paul, kn filter kit lang as posted before. napa bayaan ko na plans ko for the car kc i'm restoring another ride i bought, a first gen toyota celica. wanted to get sana yung first gen opel manta kaso wala ako makita kaya i opted for the celica na lang.

edit: the toyotas are to the left, both first gens as well as the opels, to the right. i figured, this is as close as i can get to owning a manta in terms of looks . sobrang similar sila ng hitsura, pati pag bukas ng hood ganun din! pero if i can still get a manta, bibili pa rin ako!
