January 14th, 2011 11:23 AM #1053Sorry for being OT but here goes:
I have an extra skidplate for Opel Astra G.
What is a skidplate?? It's the heavy metal sheet underneath the engine. This protects your engine from rocks and other road debris that might otherwise hit the oil reservoir of your engine.
I'm selling it for PhP 3000... For those interested don't hesitate to send me PM.
Reason for selling: I thought I lost it. Bought another one from a surplus store only for the original to show up this morning during a clean up of a back room.

January 20th, 2011 02:42 PM #1058Hi,
Have someone tried reading ECU fault codes without using a TECH1 or TECH2 reader?
I am no mechanic wizard but I found this topic very interesting.
http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/info/fault_...ault_codes.htm
Yesterday, I had my Astra 2001 scanned at a GM Alabang for 1100 PHP though their quote was higher. They told me my ECU had a defect and needs to be replaced. Since the quote is from GM casa, the cost to replace is high.
Did some of you had the same situation? What was your experience with an Astra that had an ECU problem?
Thanks.

January 22nd, 2011 06:11 AM #1060Hi peeps!
Any suggestions, feedback will be much appreciated.
I got a second hand Opel Vectra last Oct 2010.
Mejo hirap ung batak pag akyat (flyover, bridges.. etc)
I had the maintenance every 5kms (change oil, tune up etc) I also replaced automatic transmission fluid.
They made some adjustment dun sa bandang cervo so medyo nag okay.
I had another tranmission fluid change when the mechanic noticed na may leak ung transmission so he suggested na mag replace ng oil seal.
Okay nman, I got it last Jan 8. They told me na yung sa selector maluwag kaya tinali nila.
Mang Boy from Fronte will diagnose this week. Any same experience?
probable causes:
-- electrical issue
-- torque converter
-- automatic transmission fluid
Thanks sa mga sasagot
