Sentra Series3 rpm drops and car shakes

hello mga sir.. newbie here..

tanong ko lang po sa mga master dito..

after driving 30mins or so pag nakastop ako kunyari sa red light o kaya traffic bigla nag sha-shake yung kotse ko tapos yung rpm bumababa sa 500 or lower tapos tataas ulit sa normal tapos bababa nanaman ulit.. pero hindi naman namamatay yung makina.. then after a few minutes of driving ulit hindi na sya mangyayari.. nung isang araw lang nagsimula to eh.. ano kaya problem nito?? sabi ng kapitbahay ko tune-up lang daw.. pero gusto ko muna makuha opinion ng ibang tao bago dalhin sa mekaniko para may idea ako kahit papano..

nangyayari po sya kahit naka-on or off ang aircon..

tune-up is a good place to start.

if problem persists after doing so...
palinis ng throttle body kung efi or, if carb, overhaul. if no budget sa overhaul, carb cleaner nalang muna.

kung hindi padin, palit air filter and fuel filter na.

pardon my ignorance sir, do i have to change my engine oil and oil filter everytime na mag papatune-up ako?? sabihin ko din sa mekaniko linisin throttle body..

MAF/Throttle body cleaning..
for Nissan B14s, its part of the preventive maintenance.
I do it every six months or when needed - DIY mode.

regarding your question above that you change your oil and filter every tune up, not necessarily. follow the oil change intervals, which depends on the oil being used.

i doubt sir if your oil has anything to do with your problem. basta tama ang oil level, i think wala kinalaman yun.

i saw your other post and a fellow tsikot member suggested the MAF sensor replacement.
its up to you na sir, first hand experience kasi sya, same model pa.

tune-up and paglinis ng mga dapat linisin ang inuuna ko
before replacing.

to each his own.

thanks sa mga sumagot.. hanap pako maglilinis MAF sensor and throttle body ko.. palpak lakad ko kanina sa shell eh at hindi ko kaya mag DIY.. hehehe

madali lang linisin yung MAF.. just remove it tapos spray ka ng carb cleaner... yung throttle body din.. medyo madami ka lang aalisin...

btw, take note nyo yung mga position ng sensors... lalo na yung TPS.. kasi pag na iba yan may effect sa engine performance

wala po ako alam sa makina sir eh.. hehehe.. hindi ko alam kung san nakalagay yung MAF and throttle body.. at higit sa lahat wala akong tools and panglinis.. nyahaha!

my sentra's engine used to die when decelerating from hi speed into idle speed. i read an article from somewhere, which recommended a shop along banawe... i brought it there, and saw a good number of hi-performance nissans.. the mechanic was kind enough to have a look. he told me, "sakal po ang idle air screw." he opened it a little and the car was ok na. and he didn't charge me.
i'm afraid i forgot the name.. perhaps one of the readers out there knows the place.

Try advance techniques, its near your place plus they specialized with sentra modifications

idle bomb ang problema mo sir ang kadalasang pinanggagalingan nyan IACV, Faulty ECU MAF, Vacuum hose leaks...

btw, ingat lang sa paglilinis ng TB mo dahil very sensitive yung MAF sensor kung lilinisin mo ng carb cleaner make sure na medyo may distance dahil masyadong manipis yung mga filaments nung maf napakamahal ng replacement ng maf sensor natin 22k ang original sa nisway auto parts sa may ligaya and mahirap maghanap ng surplus.. HTH...

may alam ba kayo sir kung san maganda magpalinis ng mga yan and mapa check narin kung may leak vacuum hose ko?? hindi ko makita yung advance techniques.. hehe

kung las pinas area kayo. yung shell sa tapat ng perpetual ay naglilinis ng TB and MAF...

sir, regarding this idle bomb, un din ung prob ng series3 ga16dne automatic tsikot ko... tried cleaning the tb na... setting base idle and timing lang kulang... cno po ung may alam dito how to set base idle at timing ng GA16dne? ang nakita ko lng sa net kay ung GA16de

try mo lang disconnect ang batteries overnight para mareset computer then the car will relearn everything when you use it in the morning.

medyo complicated ang pagset manually you will need to remove the tps and auxilliary fans before setting the rpm. I found out na mas madali yung reset ang ecu by disconnecting the batteries.
