Thanks for confirming. Hows the qr25de in terms of fuel consumption? We had the 1st gen xtrail 2.0 and ang lakas sa gas.
Whats your opinion on the mr engine?

fuel consumption ok lang for a big engine, di ko iniisip malakas sya sa gas, mahal lang talaga ang gas :D pero kung purely city medyo mabigat sa bulsa kasi matrapik, if mix NLEX saka city tolerable na

The 2.5L is a double edged sword. It has better FC for highways than my 1st gen 2L Xtrail with 8-9km/L heavy foot but worse FC during city driving with only 5.6-5.8km/L compared to 6.3km/L of my 1st gen Xtrail. But I heard the new MR20 engine has better FC than the QR20 even in traffic so let's wait for the reviews.

where did you get this 5.6-5.8km/l value? is this for the new 2.5 Xtrail CVT?

It's for the 2nd gen Xtrail CVT. That value is based on heavy traffic in Edsa. 1.5 hours from Makati to QC. The new 2.5L Xtrail is more efficient but I don't know how it performs in stop and go traffic yet.

These may be display or test units. Dealers say that actual units (from Japan) will arrive last week of October or 1st week of November 😜

Nissan Philippines wants to go up against the big boys with the new X-Trail | TopGear.com.ph

"By the way, here's an interesting bit: The introductory price of the X-Trail is exactly the same as the price of the outgoing model. But that's a limited offer only. If you reserve an X-Trail on or before October 31, 2014, you'll get the 4x2 variant for only P1,350,000 (priced at P1,375,000) and the 4x4 variant for P1,550,000 (priced at P1,580,000). The carmaker starts rolling out units today, October 20, for those who have already reserved."
