Question on Mitsubishi Adventure Diesel top speed

Safe to say na kaya ng Adventure diesel and 120 kph based on the replies on the thread.

Can somebody post how many seconds before the Advie can reach this speed? I am really curious how the Advie compares with the Innova J.

I own a 2007 Mitsubishi Adventure GLX - Bought last September 2007.. I wanted to bench mark it's max speed then.. I got a max speed of 155 km/h at around 4k RPM sa North Expressway.. I think un na ang pinaka max nung sakin kasi kahit naka floor na accelerator ayaw na niyang bumilis pa.. Naka on aircon and ako lang ang sakay.. anyway.. once ko lang na try and ayaw ko na ulitin ulit.. strictly for benchmarking purposes lang talaga..

thank you sir , by doing 4k rpm how long do you maintain the speed in benchmarking without compromising the engine? just asking, so that i know the practical limits of the 4d56 which is a good engine.

Ung sakin mga 140 kph yung 4k rpm, wla ka nang maririnig non nadiesel rattle,puro wind at road noise na lang at malakas na ugong. Naka 155 kph nga pla ko sa sctex pero mejo downhill. kapag flat surface mga 145 kph lang.


Sa mga nagsasabi nga pala na 120 kph lang ang kaya ng advie, subukan nyng bombahin yung engine habang nag iispeed up. yun bang apak ng konte, hinto, apak ng konte, hinto sa gas pedal. natutunan ko lang yan sa tatay ko( jeepney driver dati). effective!
nung ang ginagawa ko eh push agad ng todo sa gas pedal, 110 kph lang nanginginig na yung engine.

it depends sa shifting ng kambyo mo kung nasa timing ^_^ mahirap kasi pwersahin mo yung diesel typ na engine baka masira hehehe

once a week ko lang po yung ginagawa mahirap na pag araw araw about naman sa diesel type engine sa una mabagal pero pag bumwelo na dun na talaga siya hahataw

matagal po bago maabot ng adventure ang ganoong speed. mga aprox. 40 sec. kung 2.5-3k rpm ang shifting. about sa innovaj,17.5 sec. yata yung 0-100 kph sa C! magazine. its leagues apart from adventure in terms of engine performance(though mas matulin ang adventure compared sa ibang oldschool diesels, yung mga hindi common rail). pero kung sa reliability, di pa aabot sa kalingkingan ng 4d56 yung d4d na yan.

ano po ba ang prescribed na rpm bago mag upshift? nung nag-145 kph po kasi ako sa sctex mga 2.5-3k rpm. pero sa city driving 1.5-2k lang.

Sir I think mga 3 minutes lang akong naka 155 km/hr at 4k+ RPM before.. I had to slow down back to 120 km/hr din lang so as not to put too much stress sa engine.. That was way back then..

I just came from Baguio kanina lang with 3 passengers, air con turned on - Max I reached at SCTEX was 140 km/hr - same goes sa NLEX.. Hindi na niya kayang bilisan pa.. Mabigat e.. Hahaha..

To those who doubt na kaya ng adventure ng speeds as high as 120+++ km/hr, please note that there are many factors affecting top speed - The weight of the car (and the corresponding load on the engine), the road (uphill or downhill), correct tire pressure... and of course, the guwapito behind the steering wheel (ehem - ung driver.. ) Hehehe.. (correct shifting)

Seriously - mabilis po ang adventure compared sa other old schools - kahit nga ung 120 km/hr na sinasabi na ng iba na pinaka top speed na ng adventure in reality sisiw lang yan sa adventure kahit 7 pa sakay with baggages.. I travel almost twice a month to and from Baguio and Manila and I've never had any problems reaching past those speeds

Casa maintained si advie and I never miss servicing - I use Shell.. kung minsan biodiesel ng Flying V - depende sa kung saan naaabutan na wala ng crudo..

Thanks for the info. For the Advie 40 seconds and for the Innova j around 20 seconds or to be exact 22 seconds difference. Is this 22 seconds advantage of the Innova over the Adventure in reaching 120 kph first significant?

I can live with the 22 second delay of the Advie in acceleration what with the power options and lower price tag in its package and the reliable 4d56 vs the Innova j.

Hindi po exact ang 40 sec. sa 0-120 kph, approx. lang po yon. at yung 17.5 seconds ng innova, 0-100 po yon. yung 0-100 siguro ng adventure mga 20-24 seconds, wala po kasing info sa C! magazine. Ibig sabihin, mga 3-7 seconds lang ang delay

Nga pala, pagkalampas ng 110 kph, mabagal na ang accelleration ng advie kaya 110-120 kph eh inaabot ng 13+ sec. siguro.

Sir, safe po ba biodiesel for our Adventure? Is using biodiesel really good for the engine and contributes to a higher mileage than conventional diesel? Ano pong biodiesel ang mare-recommend nyo bukod sa Flying V? Thanks!

Hi guys...nakasakay ako 2 weeks ago sa kolorum:D na Adventure GL diesel. Cruising nya 120km/h puno ng pasahero. That's 11 passengers! Overtake namin lahat ng nasa NLEX. Anyway, inaantok pa mga driver nun kaya kami pinakamatulin...tahimik pa yung makina, walang vibration et cetera et cetera.

Given that the engine is in perfect condition, tingin ko kaya 160km/h sa diesel Adventure. Relaxed naman kasi ang takbo ng 4D56 compared to similar generation Toyota diesels (non-D4D).

And as for the Innova D4D, I can safely say that it can cruise at 150km/h easily as I've witnessed on a Hilux J 2.5 and driving my dad's Innova E 2.5 A/T. Sagaran sa 2.5l D4D siguro 170km/h.

Top speed of my 2000 Adventure 2.5 Diesel today is approximately 130 kph... Talagang todo na un sa NLEX wala ng itataas pa... Kagandahan lang sa adventure diesel malakas talaga ang hatak kahit full load.

Agree p though I haven't crossed the line i just maxxed my advbie at 120kph reving at 3500 rpm pero mukahang kaya pa. yes puno kami noon, Congrats po on your adventure, I will try to floor it someday po
the speed is fine since it gets us all there in the lines at the NLEX tollgate.

hello bago lang po ako d2 sa tsikot, ung sakin nbili ko di ko n try sa hiway, so ang nangyari nong subukan nmin sa NLEX ay hirap pumalo sa 100kph ung takbo, sbi ng iba sakal daw, nkakasira kya ng mkina ang sinsabing sakal, 2nd hand lang nmin sya nbili. at first time ko magkaron ng sasakyan sa pinas, kc wla naman sakal sakal n sinsabi d2 sa spain kaya diko alam un. ano kaya mganda gawin.di n sya pede ibalik sa pinagbilhan e. tnx s mga magrereply.

i just got a 2009 adventure glx diesel m/t a week ago... compared to an innova 2.5 diesel a/t and 4x2 navarra 2.5 diesel a/t.. mjo malayo un difference nila in terms of speed and acceleration.. 1st gear ng adventure mjo hirap n pumalo ng 20+kph.. and pag 80kph mjo hirap na.. but city driving lang to (katip/commonwealth k mjo hinahataw).. hope i can test my adventure on a nice and smooth highway soon
