Yes? You rang? Di naman ako expert sa sound system. Malamang mas marami pang alam yung iba dyan, hehe.
Anyway, I've never been a fan of self-amplified subs, especially the thin ones. As Sir boybit has mentioned, tunog lata ang sound experience mo sa kanya, even with known brands such as pioneer and blaupunkt. Also pag nasira ang amplifier part ng product na yan, your sub is virtually useless, unless you tear the thing apart.
It would definitely be better to buy a separate amplifier then have your under-the-seat sub enclosure custom-made para mas maganda ang tunog, although I must admit na hindi pa rin yun kasing ganda ng tunog as the bigger enclosures.
Another solution, although medyo hassle, is to have a "removable sub enclosure" that rests on the rear seat when you want the sub frequency, but which you can unplug and remove if someone is to sit at the back seat.
One last solution is yung ginagawa ng iba for competitions. They totally remove the back rests to make way for the bigger subs.
