Nalilito ako dun sa engine choices... bakit meron "(4D56)" at "(4M41)" na nakalagay? Are they putting new engines?

I will eternally worship Mitsubishi if they mass-produced this truck with some of the original racing specs intact, particularly the 5-speed manual gearbox and the carbon Kevlar body!

rafraf: seems they're still gonna use the proven diesel workhorses, the 2.5L and 3.2L respectively. about time they add the 4m41 na rin. a 4d56 on the strada isn't that good anymore, especially that the dmax and fortuner have high-output (for a diesel) engines.

bogeyman: onga eh, lalo na with the brakes. so yummy. eheheheheh.

    yup I know,

    current dmax engine is non-crdi

I gave a plus on colorado, because they MIGHT deliver it with crdi engine and it will be distinct from altera.

Malamang mahal ang Colorado ng GM Phils pero ok na ginawang CRDi na yung 4D56 at 4M41,sayang di sinama yung 4M40.

I seriously doubt it. Tignan mo yung output nung CRDi 4D56 TDIC = 140hp.

Mas malakas pa sa 4M40TDIC na local and just as powerful as the 4M40 with EFI.

probably, along with CRDi, they're using a variable-geometry turbo as well?

    Good day,

    I'm just new here.

I just want to share to all tsikoteers an article that I saw at yesterday's Philippine Star.
Concerning possibly the 2006 Mitsubishi Strada.

    According to James Deakin:

"Locally, three new engines will be offered. There’s the class leading, 3.2 liter Hyper Common rail, DOHC turbo intercooled diesel engine that kicks out 165ps*3,600 rpm and 351nm of torque from a very practical and virtually idling speed of 2,000-3,000 rpm; or, a slightly smaller DOHC, turbo intercooled, Hyper Common Rail, 2.5-liter diesel that peaks at 140ps*4000 rpm and produces its peak torque of 321nm*2000 rpm, and finally, a non intercooled, 2.5-liter turbo entry level engine that makes do with 116ps*3500 and 247nm* 2,000 rpm, mated to your choice of a 5-speed manual or four speed auto box."

"Ergonomically, the new Strada is light years ahead of its predecessor and makes everything else in its class feel almost Jurassic. In fairness, the Hilux comes very close, and may have the edge when it comes to fit, finish and materials, but the Strada, with its improved leg, head and shoulder room; sculpted power leather seats; multi mode display and rear retractable power window, takes it even a notch higher. Mitsubishi has also done a fine job at keeping unwanted sounds out — the diesel engine is now barely audible from the inside and overall cabin room is encroaching on passenger car levels of space and comfort."

"I like the fact that it comes with ABS, EBD and a couple of airbags."

I just hope that the features that Mitsubishi will put when it is sold in Thailand will be the same as those when they introduce it here. I'm sure Isuzu & Toyota will tremble in fear, once they see this.

nah... toyota won't tremble in fear, the older d-max of isuzu might.

even though i'm a mitsu fan, i just can't seem to get used to the extra large mitsu nose badge... my, what big nose you have!
