feedback lang.if ever any of you go to Diamond Quezon Avenue, and unfortunate that your Service Advisor is Joselito Bitagan, have yourself reassign a new SA. If you have any complaints, he will just say "normal yan", "okay na yan". No explaination whatsoever.

But Mr. Boyet Talagtag I have no qualms...good person to deal with.

Also noticed the Montero oil filter is cheaper at DCT holding vs Diamond Strada oil filter for 2.5 4d56. Parehas lang ba ang oil filter?

If you have the parts discount card, it's not applicable to credit card payments but only cash. This I am still verifying with MMPC if they have changed the policy, as per the discount card, no indication that it's only applicable for cash payment.

Another question which is better:

Fully Synthetic Oil Change at every 10k

or

Mineral Oil change every 5k??


I'm thinking of every 5k with mineral..because i have a friend who does this with his fortuner(50k and running smoothly)...More frequent oil change is more cleaner right?

or maybe we could ask opinions from our strada brothers out there.

recommended na yata sa casa for our engines yung fully synthetic oil... and as per discussion sa kanila, mas madami daw cleaning agents ang fully synthetic kaya mas protected pa rin daw ang engine vs mineral oil

Just had my 10,000km check up at Diamond Motors Valle Verde. Cost was php 8,800++. Synthetic oil * 560 8ltrs + 2,600++ labor + miscellaneous fees.

Tough to pay but okay naman ang result. Gumanda takbo.

Barely 4months pa lang ang Montero ko, roughly 2,500++ monthly average usage.

I have been back reading the thread but I can't distinguish the figures from a 3.2L from 2.5L... may I know how much is the PMS cost of the 2.5 4x2 GLS A/T and if the oil used is synthetic or mineral... I just want to have an idea, just in case... thanks po...

*agent_ysann: mineral oil costs less than Php200/L while FS ranges from Php550-650 depending on the CASA branch. 8 liters for the 2.5 while 9L for the 3.2L.

8 liters for a 2.5L engine? di ba parang sobra yun? we had a 1997 pajero 2.5L before using only 6 liters... hmm...

my monty is due for its 15k PMS. leaning towards diamond valle verde, ok ba dun mga sir? had my 10k at Citimotors makati, holdap yung PMS ko dun. paid around 7.8k, wasn't informed na Fully synthetic lang ginagamit nila dun. previously Union motors paco kasi ako nag pa PMS ng 1k and 5k pero ang tagal ng waiting time. so now im looking for ok na magpaPMS. thanks...

brought my own semi-synthetic oil (7 liters as per manual instructions and i don't buy there bullcrap explanations na dapat 8 liters) and vic oil filter, have not heard that there will be voiding of any engine warranty.

as per manual of MS 2.5L engine:
oil pan - 5.5 ltrs
oil filter - 0.8 ltr
oil cooler - 0.1 ltr
total 6.4 ltrs

so, 7 liters of oil will be more than sufficient. grabe mga SA hindi nila alam yan kahit magtanong kayo, ipipilit nila na 8 liters dapat. e masama sa engine din un sobra.

3.2L engine

oil pan - 7 ltrs
oil filter - 1 ltr
oil cooler - 1.3 ltrs

kakainis lang mga SA.....nun pinakita ung manual ng MS ko at binasa un portion na un, "tameme" then pinagpilitan parin na 8 liters kasi un daw gawain nila...napabuntong hininga ako ng malalim sa inis.

^ Grabe na oil requirement ah, dati 2.5 6 liters lang. Now 7.4 na. Yung 3.2 4m41 9.3ltrs. hehe, kelangan talaga semi or fully synthetic na para 10K palit tapos use a very good oil filter para no worries!

Nyak wag VIC oil filter ang gamitin. Bagsak sa filtration test yung VIC according sa mga oil filter tests.
