Bale dati 11-12 mix city and highway
Tapos nung nag palit ako ng mags&tires from 205/80/16 to 265/75/17 naging 8.77 fc ko then nag change oil ako to fully synthetic (zic rv 10w-30) at 20k naging 9.++ (mix)

Napansin ko bumaba ng ~800 rpm nung nag palit ako ng zic rv from mobil delvac
From 2200 rpm * 100-110kph to 1.2rpm same speed. First time ko gumamit ng fully synthetic and it seems nakahelp sya to quieter engine and improve fc.

Pero sana bumalik yun 11-12 na fc ko without changing to old tires size.
AFAIK, there will be a drop on your FC everytime you switch to a bigger tire, not that your FC is really dropping, but because your odometer becomes uncalibrated. If before using 205/80/16 tires can make you travel 700kms, in 1 full tank, changing to 265/65/17 will probably reduce it to 650kms. Your FC is still the same, its just that your odometer reflects a shorter reading because the diameter of the two tires are not the same. Remember that distance are computed by odometer based on the # of rotations your wheels make, so if you have a bigger tire, it takes less rotation to travel such distance.
I also came from 205/80/16 tires and before my office distance is around 22. something kilometers, and then I switched to 265/50/20 and my office distance became 20. something (based on the odo).
So if you'll compare FC of both tires, you would think the bigger one has a lower FC when in fact it is the same.

Anyway, going back to the topic, mine is 2013 strada 2.5 M/T, I usually travel 700kms in between fill up, fill up is usually 60-62 liters, giving me an FC of 11.3 to 11.6kms per liter. Usual travel is Makati to Las Pinas via SLEX or Coastal.

very informative Sir. I changed my tires too from its stock size to 265/65/17, GLS V model. I only get around 9km to 11km/liter, mixed driving. I am planning to remove the utility box at the back, so i will be lighter, and thus improve the FC.

So, pwede po bang i calibrate and odometer to be in line with the replaced tires?

    Thanks.

Nakabili ako ng L200 '94 model nung January. After 3 months of using it, 180k+ kms na ang odometer. Kulang pa yan actually dahil putol ang speedo cable nung makuha ko.

Average consumption is about 12km/L mixed city/hiway using full tank method.

2nd hand nakuha montero 2012 gls v. Nalalakasan ako sa FC. City driving yung 6km-/lt less than 20km distance travel and light to moderate traffic. Yung 8km/lt naman 40% highway rpm madalas hindi lalagpas sa 2k, Unioil lagi gamit ko.

Hi just wanna share the FC of our MS GLS-V. Kung puno kami we get 9-11km per liter pag 2 passengers lang we can hit 10 to 14 km per liter. Depende talaga sa habit ng driver yan. By the way bago pa MS namin. So far super happy kami coz ang tipid plus powerful engine.

Yes. It can be recalibrated. They will just have to input the new diameter of your tires, 205/80/16 is only 28.91 inches, while 265/65/17 is 30.56 inches so there's really a big difference. Running 95kph (based on odo) on your 265 will mean running around 101kph in reality. I already asked Citimotors before and they said that they can recalibrate it to match your new tire size.

Thank u Sir for this info. Pag may time, punta ako mitsu para i recalibrate. So it means na yung 9km/liter ko ay mas ok sa "totoong buhay"..

Nung stock pa tires ko 245/70r17 HT, FC ko is 8.5L/km long drive, 6.5L/km babad sa traffic.

Pero ngayon naka 285/70r17 AT ako, FC ko is 7.5L/km na lang long drive. Same pa rin FC sa traffic.

Normal ba to? Btw Strada GLS Sport AT pala auto ko. thanks

    ASX GLS SE

    6.82 km/L - pure city
9.70 km/L - highway but hataw (200 kph on SCTEX)

Both computed by full tank method. MID readings were 6.45 km/L and 8.77 km/L, respectively.

What's your FC based on full tank method?

OT: iba pala MID ng GLX sa GLS, colored yung sa GLS eh.
