if you are going to replace parts, better wait na lang until your existing parts give way. di naman biglang masisira yan eh. its better than replacing all that is working now just this scenario.

If it still serving you well up to this time, and the comfort of driving on that wheels is not yet a question, then no reason for it to sell. Be practical.

good day mga papi, good to hear that kaya pa pala ng 97 EL pizza ng e10 ethanol.ü i was worried na rin kasi for the car that were planning to buy.

btw, my dad checked the car, ung problems pala is ung hood, fender, grills, headlight, bumper, and signal lights(all front). hindi ako nakasama sa kanya so i wasnt able to have the car photographed and posted here, xenxa na.

anyways, if ever bibili narin lang ako ng headlights and front bumper, gusto ko sana ung may porma na and ung sa headlights sana may quality and may porma. ano po marecommend nyo mga papi?ü

well, I'm still trying to dig deeper sir since my pizza has a carb engine... if replacing some components like alcohol resistant fuel lines, gas tank and carb parts can make my pizza run satisfactorily on e10 then I'm down with it... can't afford a new car eh.

Mitsubishi Motors - COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS and INQUIRIES!

    Sir/Madam:
On behalf of the Lancer owners and enthusiasts, I would like to ask your good office if it is safe to use ethanol blended gasoline/e10 on carb engines. Would there be some modifications we have to do on our carbed-engines? Your reply would be highly appreciated.

Thank you and more power to Mitsubishi Motors!

    Dear Mr. Ordonez,

Thank you for sending us your inquiry regarding Mitsubishi Lancer.

Carburetor engine are not capable for E10 since the fuel system design cannot accept ethanol. At this time, carburetor convertion kits are not available and as per cost estimate may be similar to a brand new engine.
Also, part supply is a major concern since most carburetor engine are over 5 years old.

We hope that these information will be of help to you.

    Sincerely,

    David M. Doctor/SOD/MKTG/MMPC

eto naman from Shell. For information lang...

    Hi Sir Francis,

    Thanks for your email.

Please be advised that VPower, Super Premium and Super Unleaded are now blended with 10% ethanol. This is in compliance with the Biofuels Law Act in which DOE mandates that a minimum of 10% blend of ethanol by volume into all gasoline fuel, distributed and sold by each and every oil company in the country.

Moreover, E10 is generally intended for fuel injected vehicles. We've tested this also in motorcycles and we haven't encountered any issues. But it is recommended to consult the vehicle manufacturer for further advise if you can use ethanol blended gasolines. We don't have such test.

In addition, regular unleaded is not yet blended with ethanol, but this is available in selected stations only and can be used in those engines with <81 RON requirement. By 2011, gov't may mandate the 10% ethanol blend in all gasolines.

Please let me know if I can assist you further. Thank you and have a nice day.

    Regards,
    Chanda

^^crave, based on information that i got from other forums, the smaller players have still sell their gasolines at an unblended state. Flying V, PTT, Seaoil. may unleaded sila, may E10. i also talked to the gasoline boy at Total Filinvest where i usually load up, meron pa din daw silang hiwalay na E10 and Unleaded.

    hth.
