my montero GTV is averaging 8.8km/li using manual calculation basing from the diffrence of km reading divided by last volume fill. automatic stop lang palagi and just take note the total liters na ikinarga mo and your km reading. it may not be that accurate pero pwede nang estimation. sa MID panel it shows almost the same reading naman

ah so medyo in sync naman pala ang mid panel reading at manual fuel consumption reading. that's goor to hear

Sa fc try niyo palinis egr minsan kasi sa egr din or scv ganyan nangyari sa strada ko under warranty naman e.. mausok siya + malakas sa diesel.. Tuwang tuwa ako dito sa white montero ko sobrang tipid kahit hataw + idle

Hi ash. Thanks for this helpful insight. Your observation is spot on. I have a non vgt 2013 automatic and I really use it for pure city driving (stop and go). Was not able to properly break it in as you described by varying my speed and load. Any idea on how I can fix this? Will long driving trips help balance it out? Or do I have to go back to casa and have the ecu reset?

Maybe there's a mistake of my calculation or mine was simply a saver. Anyway, I'll try to find it out once I'm home next month.

sir dupax - based on your figures po, i think ideal yan given pa na agressive yung driving niyo hitting 120 kph at hiway (again, i average 12km/l mixed hiway w/ aggressive mode.) just like what i've mentioned from my original post, mukhang kelangan talaga ng mga Monty natin ang balanced break-in, meaning varying the engine load para makapag "learn" ng maayos yung ECU + i suspect, me relationship din yan sa "wearing in" ng engine cylinders, piston ring, and other moving parts during the break-in period..

Sir Ash, matanong ko na rin kasi naka 700km pa lang ang takbo ng monty ko. Is it necessary na ipa change oil ko na or I have to wait till 1,000? Fyi, every Sunday lang nila mapapatakbo around 5 km going to supermarket but 5 to 6 times a week siya napapaandar for about 7-10 min. One more thing, we all know na naka GPS ready na ang 2013 model at ang offer sa akin ng casa ay 5,500 for the chips or SD card. Wala po bang problema kung sa iba ko ipapakabit (just to save) saka pag na install na yun hindi naba kailangan ang internet just like other mobile phones using their GPS? Kabilinbilinan kasi ng casa na wag magpakabit sa labas lalo na pagdating sa electronics dahil pwede ma void yung warranty which is yun naman lagi ang sinsabi nila. Pasensya na po sa maraming katanungan.

Re: 700k kms for 1k pms, i would suggest hintayin mo pa rin umabot 1k, para sulit mo yung break-in period.
Re: GPS - though i didnt avail the GPS sd card, as far as i know, "non-assisted" ang GPS module naten, meaning direct lang sa mga satellites siya kukuha, unline sa mobile devices na "assisted" via internet para mas madali ang "location fixing", from the internet location services.
Re: outside service, as of now, Winterpine lang kasi tlaga official provider nung GPS SD card for the AVT HU.. so its either get it from the casa (which is just a branch of Winterpine pa rin anyway.) We have some members here who "copied" from the legit SD Cards pero sa pagkaalam ko merong limitation like distorted maps, due to the embedded anti-copying feature/checksum/id ng mga SD card..

When my Monty was released from the casa, may isang employee nila sa releasing binulungan ako offering 4.5k for the GPS sd card. Install na daw nya dun din. Original naman daw but without receipt. Sila na rin daw mag-uupdate. Nag-dalawang isip ako kasi 1k lang ang difference. Kung 3.5k baka pinatulan ko pa.
