It's your car, it's safe to assume you can do what you want with it. Of course the casa will say you can put a basket because they make a killing selling accessories (roof baskets included).

But the official word from the factory is NO. And the factory is the also the one that stipulates the installing of the Forbid Loading stickers on the rails. The mounting system of the roof rail is designed to carry the roof rail only (you can verify this with the factory). Any weight in excess of that is beyond the limits of the roof rail and any damage will not be covered by the factory warranty. The fact that it can survive the occasional loading doesn't automatically mean it was designed for such (unlike the load rated roof rails of the Crosswind or Pajero or Fortuner, for example). However, the dealer may honor your warranty claim at their expense (they will no longer inform the factory of the claim) if they are the ones that sold you the roof basket should any damage arise from its installation and use.

Remember that the weight on the roof rail is not just a product of the load itself but also of the forces that affect the vehicle like hard braking and sharp turns which can increase the weight acting on the rails. AFAIK, the gutters are still the factory recommended attachment points for extra luggage gear (roof boxes, roof baskets, etc.).

Wow ganda....Kung out of town trips tapos maraming gamit, ok talaga merong roof basket para more space sa cabin, pero mas advisable na roof basket yung naka attached sa roof gutter, hindi talaga pwede sa roof rail lang hindi safe, disadvantage lang ng may roof basket hirap linisin ang ibabaw

Wala po. Just keep the ac in recirculate and the windows closed when using the system.

Opo, walang remote control and battery operated lang yung sa steering wheel controls.

Just clocked 1,005 kms on my odo, already due for 1k pms. Nag-improved na yung fuel consumption from 10.77kms per liter to 12.98 kms per liter.

The Fuzion is the way to go and for them to further develop (which is the successor of the Adventure). Sana MMPC will slap a diesel engine just like the one used by the new L200 cab pickup.
As long as emission laws push forward, the DOHC CRDi engine used in the L200 could be slapped into the Adventure and the L300 Versa Van. Maybe not so soon, but just a turbo (maybe also with an intercooler) would already be a good improvement in that matter. The Fuzion could be also good with the CRDi, altough it would possibly take some market share from the Montero Sport...

I think kailangan pang bumili ng GPS add on to make it work. I still rely on my iPhone for navigation
