Because like what Koji said.. "Montero is built for hauling, not for speeding"

IMHO Santa Fe is built for comfort and speed. Magkaiba talaga sila.

But both SUVs are good. Ganda ng Montero ngayon, may paddles pa. Parang Lancer GT-A na hehehe. Advance Congratulations sa bibili. ;)

besides, montero has a high ground clearance as compared to santa fe, much lesser power even with a vgt engine, so montero to race with santa fe is really not advisable. IMO.

Exactly. The Montero has high center of gravity. At hindi independent suspension sa rear. So hindi rin advisable ang high speed cornering

It is beyond me why people here even compare the two?
The SF is a monocoque CUV built for the road but with limited off road capability.

The MS is a 'body on frame' chasses vehicle and a proper off road vehicle built to take abuse on rough terrain. Although it's road manners, comfort and power has come a long way towards CUVs it will never be as carlike as them, nor does it try to.

In conclusion; this thread is for the 2011 MS, and although the odd comparison comment is welcome, it is not a comparison thread.

This is not a comparison thread but people cant help to compare the new montero with VGT & other suv's with VGT coz its the new trend on commonrail diesel engines..

Tama, dapat standard na yung rear spoiler to complete the rear design. Parang mey kulang kasi pag walang rear spoiler..
