Whew, I miss driving SCTEX! Only the bugs are a hassle when they're in season but that's just about the only road where we can let loose. My favorite parts are where you're driving inbetween two hills that my friends and I called the pekpek or cleavage approach.

P.S. ask your companion (if any) to take your picture next time! Stay safe guys

We always use SCTEX every two weeks coming from work (work in Pangasinan area) going home to Manila and you are right, it is the only place where you can let loose the urge to speed up and try the limit of our ASX. But I seldom do that now because of fuel consumption consideration, sobra na mahal

tama ka diyan bro, pero if the price is not that high, para sa kin, the best na asx natin pag dating sa FC with a 2.0 displacement and having an ave FC of 10-13 km/li..try mo mag 140kph sa sctex bro, mas maganda FC..noticed it last time, kita ko sa eco meter/ instantaneous FC natin, almost gitna yung meter...hehehehe..pero watch out kasi may mga patrol na baka may dalang speed gun....

The dealer said that the electric power steering turns off at highway speeds to give the driver more feel and help keep the car on-center. It's nice for a straight road but if you're doing a lot of turns and twists on the highway it can get a bit tiring.

In SCTEX we're sometimes torn between using the cruise control (minsan lang kasi magagamit sa pinas) or driving really fast.

On the topic of FC, after another fuel tank, based on the receipts and odo, my computed mpg is still around 22 mpg. I have a feeling it's because of my heavy foot when accelerating from a standstill. I still can't get the perfect mix of acceleration without the ugly noise from the engine/CVT.

When is everyone's first scheduled PMS? When i bought mine, the trip computer said service was at 7500miles/2 months, now it's saying 6500miles/1month. I really don't want to go to the dealer again... Napapagastos ako sa kakatingin ng accessories at ibang kotse

First PMS namin dito is 1000km, tapos ko na, next should be 10000km kasi daw fully synthetic engine oil na ginamit namin, but I did change my oil 5000km, now im around 7000km and im planning to do my next PMS at 10000km...wala pang acce sa casa sa baguio kaya wala pa ako acce na nilagay heheheehe...nag palit lang ako from halogen fog light to HID 6000k...

Nice, pati fog lights halogen! Baka makabulag ka nyan.

    Accessories update:

If you buy the upright cargo net, this requires drilling of two holes in the plastic interior for installation! The dealer was asking $60 to install it. No thanks, magkamali pa sila para lang ma hook ko yung $35 na cargo net.

Get the envelope style cargo net that lays flat if you must have one, as that one uses existing hooks.

Hindi naman masakit sa mata HID ng fogs ko bro...hehehehe...jan ba sa states kailangan ng permit bago ka mag upgrade ng electrical system mo such as HL or stereo? requires drilling? hirap na...good decision bro...you're right baka mag kamali sila, hirap na...

No permit needed but it's touch-move: If you touch your electricals, then dealers can automatically refuse to cover any electrical problem under the warranty.

If you want to upgrade anything on your car and keep it under warranty, you have to pay the dealer to do it for you. And for anything that's wired, using non-OEM parts will also void warranty. Keeping a car "Stock + with warranty" is important if you ever want to sell your car or make a claim with insurance. Kunyari masira 2003 Honda Civic Si mo or ibebenta mo sya sa interested buyer, $11,000 lang ang value nun kung stock. If you had HIDs+Momo steering wheel and shifter + Volk wheels installed on it totalling $3,000, the appraised cost of your Civic isn't $11k + $3k, it actually becomes $11k minus $2-3k for being "non-stock". For a lot of americans that look at their cars' total cost of ownership over several years, the modding culture really doesn't make sense.

I see, kasama sa depreciation ng kotse mo yung mods mo...opposite dito sa tin sa Pinas..yup, dealer nag palit ng fogs ko ng HID kaya hindi void waranty...and my mod helps me a lot lalo na dito sa bataan na may mga part ng highway na kakaunti ang ilaw or totally wala plus asphalt na walang road line ang daan..napansin ko kasi na yung Fog na halogen natin halos di mo na makita kapag naka on yung HL natin..nung inupgrade ko, obvious na nadagdagan yung liwanag sa daan...
