Just like milk. E10 blended gasoline "spoils" or turns bad after 3 or 4 weeks in your tank. Trying to run your car on this bad gasoline results in rough idling or even engine stalling. Engine power is low if you manage a stable idle.

This is why you have to drain or replace the gasoline in your tank with "fresh" fuel if you have left it for months.

But non-E10 gasoline can last longer in the car's tank, up to four months and even longer without "spoiling".

Ah..ok... Nwy, is there a non-E10 gasoline in the market? Isn't it that there is a law that orders fuel companies here in the Phils to combine their products with 10% ethanol? Does that mean all our gasoline here are all E-10?

    Nearly all.

Some brands have kept some ethanol free like Petron's Blaze and Total's Protec.

Ah... ok. I guess Petron's Blaze will be the next fuel of my ride. Nwy, I recently fueled up with a lil' Caltext Silver (only around P500 worth). Can I mix it with Petron Blaze? or do I have to consume the remaning amount?

Sorry if I sound too noobish. I've been driving only diesel cars for quite some time. Hehehe.

*all: Paano ba ang tamang way para i-break in ang brand new car? Tried to read the manual but I haven't seen anything about breaking in. Any tips mga experts?

in addition sa sinabi ni SG...

Cruise at varying high speeds....120 130 140 150 140 130 120....parang ganyang pattern hehehe....tapos do occasional engine breaks...e.g. you can go at the speed of 140 then do engine breaks towards 60 kph...pwede ring takbo ka ng 140 tapos pag malapit na ang tollgate tanchahin mo na suggested exit speed ka nalang pagdating mo sa vicinity ng tollgate yung tipong very minimal lang ang pag preno dahil mabagal ka na...

according to the one who gave me this advice which is a mechanic...this has something to do daw with the conditioning of the pistons, para maganda daw ang lapat in the longrun and hindi manglalata ang makina kahit na may edad na...(^_^)

Just remember, do this on wide open roads and watch out lang for buwayas on the tollways and always wear your seatbelt...its better to be on the safe side...

sana naintindihan mo sir...hehehe...medyo mahirap kasi paliwanag yan pag inde kausap ng personal eh... HTH

Really sir? Akala ko you have to limit your speed to something like 80 for the first 1000 km? Pwede mo nang i-full load ang car and bring it to uphill roads? Explain more po if ok lang. Need advice. Thnx.

I live in Cebu City. Mahahataw ko lang yata ang ASX ko sa may SRP namin dito. Hindi ba makaka-sira yan ng engine kung i-hataw agad during break in period? Or am I misunderstanding the meaning of break in? Enlighten me po. Thnx.

for a moderate break-in, run to about 100 km/h, then release the accelerator. at any gear, try to avoid going 1000 rpm near redline, and vary your rpm constantly. don't run on a steady rpm too long. minimize sudden boost and sudden stops.

NEVER do that, sir.

    - Good FC
    - Fast Acceleration
    - Effortless to reach top speed

Yung Tucson R eVGT ko, 30 minutes after releasing.. hinataw ko na ng 145km/h

ayan nasabi na ni SG lahat... about the uphill, kaya siguro inde muna pwede dun kasi you will put the engine on high RPM's at minimal speed so hinde sya ok for the engine better parin talaga if high RPM at high speed Im not sure though if thats what SG is pointing out but to be on the proper side might as well avoid uphills until your 1k PMS....tama ba yung pagkakaintindi ko SG?

Basta nakita ko wala pa 3500RPM yung 185km/h

Hindi magandang dalahin sa uphill kasi you're going to put too much stress on the engine. Dapat smooth cruising lang. Gradual acceleration..

a few of our fellow officemates are now shifting their orders sa ASX coz hindi na daw sila makaantay sa Tucson. ang justification is kahit mas mahal Japan CBU naman. anyways, installment ang mode of payment naman

looks like eto ang makakatalo sa paghahari ng Tucson ngaun

Patience is a virtue... They are paying more for something less... Sorry ASX fans, just my opinion... Its small and price higher than a Tucson...

I think cash buyers are better off with ASX given that hyundai is prioritizing the financing and will accomodate cash buyers only at an additional charges for accessories. This is actually what happened to me. I've made 50k reservations for GLS tucson and for almost 7 months I've waited without any initiative from my useless dealer to update me. But he's good though at making broken promises of my being no.1 sa list. Then a good samaritan from another dealer approached me and extended his help to find me a unit. Though I didn't end up getting a unit but I do appreciate his honesty and effort. At least di ako pinaasa katulad nung useless kong dealer. The reason why I opted for ASX GLS - 1) Nasawa ako sa tucson eventually dahil siguro sa kakatitig sa brochure ng tucson while waiting at the same time started to fall in love sa ASX before its actual launch and 2) The good samaritan told me that I'll only be considered if I'm willing to pay additional 100k for the accessories that will be loaded to the tucson GLS which made it more expensive than the asx not to mention that I don't have say in the accessories to be loaded. Pano kung di ko magustuhan and besides way over my budget na. Just sharing my experience.
