Are Oakley sunglasses worth the cost?

I've got 2 oakleys, one is a prescription glass (yung nagbabago kulay ng glass kapag maliwanag), the other one I'm using when I have a contact lens...

I've got an Armani prescription glass (nagbabago rin kulay ng lens) and a couple of ray-bans....well na-arbor na yung isa.....herherherehr

tsaka pala tommy hillfiger na shades at polo sports sunglasses...

dami ko ng naging shades/glass and I am very satisfied sa Ray Bans and recently...sa Oakley.... ganda rin nung Armani, specially the titanium frame....but I dont like their lenses though....

right now I am wearing my Oakley prescription glass.... di me nakapagsuot ng contact lens eh.....napasobra gimik kagabi....tsakit pa mata ko...herherherherher

i also have Oakley prescription. pero yung lens hindi oakley, nikon yung brand. transition sya, parang yung kay 5Speed, nagiiba ang kulay kapag may araw.

i used to have a juliet and sold it. not worth the money. got a pair of rudy project rydons and extra lenses of my choice and never did turn back. broke my frame and they replaced it.

if i want to replace the lens i just bring it to the authorized dealer and pay 800 and i get a newpair of lens.

yup, ganito nga rudy project. gumamit din ako RP tretoky for prescription lens. libre palit kapg nasira mo. naputol ko kasi dati yung frame, pinalitan nila FREE.

worth it... un lang... got 6 & 1 prescription pero walang grado hehe! :D juliet ko almost 4 years na yata ok pa din...quality plus a little TLC. :D

i honestly dont think theyr worth it.. seriously 18k??
i love shades.. but i rather buy a pair for 5k every year then keep one for four years...
right now i have armani sunglasses.. which are pretty good and
just recently got spyder sunglasses which look good and cheap.. worth every penny.

to each his own, pare. im a proud owner of an "original" pair of oakleys and i dont take a dig on others whether they are wearing an original or fake pair of glasses. its just a matter if a person can afford to buy an orig. sure, to an ignorant person sa unang tingin pareho sila. but for a discerning consumer, quality & performance is a major consideration. fakes dont even compare to the original. as for the question whether oakleys are worth it - yes if you can afford it...if not, im sure there are other glasses w/c can fit a person's budget. my 2 cents...

yeah iba talaga orig, not only sa sunglasses but everything else. but i think iba ung 'cannot afford' and 'getting your money's worth', cause not all people take sunglass seriously to spend 20k for a pair. depende sa hilig ng buyer..others may not buy that 20k Oakley shades but they could easily spend 60k and above for a huge aquarium coz they like fish

for me, if i cant afford to buy the original (or if i feel its not worth it), id rather go for some other brand na original. i used to patronize fake stuffs, but ive come to realize that they dont really last as long as the original. afterwards mabwi-bwisit ako kasi di na magamit ng maayos or pangit na ang quality nung item, then i end up buying the original one. if i bought the original item nung una pa lang, hindi sana nasayang yung gastos in buying the fake item. in the end mas napamahal pa ako.

Thats true. Minsan dami pa snatcher sa kalye hahablutin sa mukha mo. Kaya ako, i buy those rayban shades na 50 bucks. mga 3 na naiwala ko nito pero ok lang. Pang iwas puwing lang naman while on my scoot

ako naman po ay patay na patay eversince sa Randolph Engineering Aviator. Yon po kasi ang gamit ko since college days. kahit ngayon e di ako nagsusuot ng ibang brand. ewan ko, pero pag RE Aviator ang gamit ko e iba ang pakiramdam ko, pag nasisira o nawawala e Ray-ban na galing Saudi dati, hehehehe. remember the leather and the ambermatics? hehehe.... hay, hirap ng tumatanda, di maka-cope up sa recent developments...

pag yung Rayban ang suot ko, e halos di makatabi ang misis ko sa akin, dahil mukha daw akong bangaw, hehehe... pero ang nakakatuwa ngayon, ang nauusong mga shades e halos palakihan, kaya nasa uso na naman pala ako... hehehe... dami ngang nagtatanong kung saan daw ako bumili ng RayBan-gaw ko, e sabi ko, more than 20 years ko ng shades mga ito... at ang ganda sa Rayban, naisasangla, hehehe... kaya pag wala akong pera noon, sangla lang.
