I also did consider getting the Ranger Wildtrak 3.0L 4x4 but it is very hard to get one without additional premiums such as insurance, accessories, bank financing.

Ya, dealers will charge a lot of extras and you'll end up spending 50-100k over the SRP especially with 3.2L Ranger due to limited supply.

A good friend has one and feature wise, it's quite good. But be prepared for a very bumpy ride due to the suspension set up.

Sa mga nag-test drive at current owners ng CX-5, sulit ba talaga ang 2.5 engine, considering the 233k difference in price?

    2.5L AWD SPORT Php 1,685,000
    2.0L 2WD AT Php 1,452,000

    Hello Tsikoteers,
Would you know a place in Banawe or anywhere (Manila area) that sell roof rack para sa ating unit without them drilling a hole pa sa roof? Yun kc display nakita ko sa Greenhills may roof rack and astig ang dating very sporty looking siya lalo.

*lord....sulit na sulit additional 200K ng 2.5 version with all the features you get mura pa nga yun, IMO....

CX-5 owners, what are some details you like and dislike in your car? Let me begin...

    Likes
    1. External shape - I enjoy looking at the sporty shape and the 19" mags look good on the car
    2. Parking aids - clear back up camera plus 8 sensors for full coverage
    3. I-stop - not yet sure how effective it is for fuel consumption but I almost forget that it's activating which is a good point
    4. Headlights - adaptive HID seems brighter than usual head lamps
    5. Tonneau cover - since it's attached to the rear door, not having the need to pull in/out is a nice convenience

    Dislikes
    1. Ambient lighting - could use more as many switches aren't lighted like sunroof, interior light, power door/window switches (except driver window), etc
    2. Entertainment system - Bose sound is okay, but phone and USB music multimedia system could have been better
    3. Door button opener - since there's already a start/stop switch, why not include a door button opener so I don't have to take out the keys from my pocket
    4. Auto central lock switch - even my old Altis had one

I remember one of the Mazda sales guys mentioned that even the 2.0L 2WD variant will have the extra cost "Soul Red" color soon.

Guys kanina sinubukan.ko uli Soul Red ng friend ko...eto.questions...

    * saan door ajar sensor? tinitingnan ko.kasi.paano.kabit LED DR Scuff plate.

    * Bose sound system, nasaan ba subwoofer nakalagay? Try ko upo sa likod talaga harap.pa din.ang Sound stage.nya....ok.din.talaga clarity nya...

    * RVM ay para saan?

    * tried to remove Air cleaner...2clips lang and sa likod naka.hook lang...for.now no need to worry.

    * di ko mahanap secondary battery. Yung pang iStop lang nakita ko.

    * opened Fuse.box..dami Relays made in Thai, BCM (body control.module made in.India.naman...)

    * accdg to tire pressure.decal pag 5pax daw dapat 38psi, dba kaya.sobra.matigas.na 'yun?

Subwoofer - there's none available, just center speakers

RVM - rear view monitoring system, you will a small light activated sa side mirrors when there's a car behind and the CX-5 will emit a soft beep when trying to change lanes in this situation. I think Ford Explorer has this safety feature as well

Secondary battery - I think there's none but car uses a different type of car battery , more expensive than usual ones

Tire pressure - I've set up the normal setting, 36 psi ata, so far so good

Illuminated switches - yes, I noticed it too and I guess that's one of their cost cutting measures. Just like the cheap sounding horn

Just a theory... maybe it isn't a cheap horn but one made for Japan, since most Japanese don't really use their horns? :p

As for the CX-5 with i-Stop, it's still made in Japan. Mazda doesn't have any other factory producing the CX-5 save for the one in Malaysia which only produces for its local market (RHD).

All, I am seriously looking at cx-5 AT 2.0 especially with the huge discount on the current model (without I-stop). With the huge discount, yogin3, it seems to be a good buy and reasonable price point.
I am comparing it with the sorento crdi lx at which is in the same price range.
Of course the cx-5 is only a year on our shores but can anyone share maintainance cost sans yogin coverage?
I am trying to compare TCO for this and the sorento.
Lastly, maybe someone on this forum had made the same comparison. Can you share what you made you to decide to choose the model you purchased?
I'm leaning towards the Mazda because it has totl features. Sorento has space and diesel (which may contribute to lower fuel costs). I average 16k KMS a year. I consider efficiency to be almost the same for both models. Space not main consideration as 70% of the time, I drive alone.
Max budget is around 1.3M so limiting it to these two trims. Thanks.
    Thanks.

Tough choice but ride comfort for me is important so i go with cx5.

Both cars are great, it depends on your priorities. Test drive both then decide.

Cant wait to get this on hand
