Di naman off-road. The foreigners who own the mines around that area just recently paved the route and made it thick enough to handle dump truck convoys. Beyond that mountain top in the background they were still paving parts of it so we turned back dahil medyo late na and home was still an hour away. No problem sa power for overtaking even uphill

Bili ka na renzo! I don't think magkakalayo sila sa FC ng Vios natin in Manila traffic

just realized the unit did not come with an anti-theft system. have you installed one in yours?

What do you mean? It has remote lock/unlock and a transponder which I assume also activates an immobilizer when taken out of the car.

I think what it has is an immobilizer system only. If you want to have an alarm installed, using the same fob key that you have, you can opt for a Code Alarm model CA3051

I think it has a car alarm because there was this instance that the sirens went wild and lights blinked. Not very sure though how it triggered. lol!

Just wanted to share my experience. Just had a test drive of the CX-5 this morning and if there's one thing that is on my mind while driving, its "THIS IS IT!".

As I was in the look for a new car, I was torn between a crossover and a sedan cause I've always wanted a "fun to drive" car but I also like nice and comfortable interior. And with my life style I needed something that can be taken into a construction site for work and at a beach (surfing) at least once a month.

I looked at Focus, Lancer GTA, Tucson, ASX and RAV4. I even tried driving the Lancer GT-A and a Tucson before and both are good for what it is, but there wasn't that "This is it!" factor. After trying the CX-5 It made me easily decide to get a crossover for the ride, comfort, functionality with good cargo space and with a "fun to drive" factor like I was driving a sedan. I also find the features of the car very much sufficient for my use especially the hands free bluetooth pairing since i usually receive a lot of calls while i'm on the road.

Skyactiv also got my interest making the car more fuel efficient yet not compromising performance. According to the agent it averages 9-10 km/l city driving and can even go up to 15 km/l highway, I'm not sure how accurate that is though. But if it's true then its really a bonus for me.

I know there are still a lot of cars that might be better in whatever aspect than the CX-5, but what's important for me is i finally had that "THIS IS IT" moment. :D I can't wait to get one soon!

You can haggle for undercoat and ewd. Do you know the price of the 2.5?

I saw the CX5 AWD SPORT displayed in Mazda Greenhills.

    SRP is 1.685M.

Differences from the other CX5 variants are:
    2.5L 4x4 skyactive engine
    19" wheels
    Leather seats
    Sunroof
    9 bose speakers
    I-Stop
    Bi-xenon headlights
    Adaptive Front-lighting (AFL)
    Reverse Camera
    Rear View Monitoring for blindspots
Power drivers seats with power adjustable lumbar support
    Moonroof
    Auto-dimming rearview mirror
    Tilting and Telescopic steering wheel
    Start/Stop Button
Tire Pressure Monitoring (available on all variants)

Standard Freebies include: Tint, Matting, Yojin3, 3 years LTO Registration.

Colors: Black, White, Aluminum Metallic, Sky Blue, and Soul Red (with 16,800 Premium)

With these features, it's almost like buying a Volvo XC60 at half the price. I think the CX5 AWD SPORT is worth buying. IMO, it has better features than the CRV, RAV4 and even the Forester.

According to my SA the new 2.5L engine is the same as the one used by the new Mazda6 and is rated at 190hp and 250Nm.
