I tried cranking the torsion bars...

1 -- suspension lift. get Rancho RS9000X shocks. fatter tires and wider rims. you're currently using 16x7 pajero fieldmaster 4x2 rims right? try getting American Racing / AMS / Mickey Thompson -- 15x8 plus 31x10.5 AT or MT tires.

how high would you like to lift your truck sir binder_clips? 2 -- body lift is another option. there are several aftermarket lift kits but they are expensive. 199OffRoadHouse's quote was P25T - body lifting sniper55555's B2200 4x2. a friend of mine (in Baguio) has a similar lift kit (locally made) that's less expensive. text or call me or PM for details?

@ gerivic: mint condition! are those Hella rear fog lamps? hanap naman ako yung pang pajero gen1 -- square sya para kasya sa pinagkabitan ng rear bumpers ko. K-plate? got this from the Visayas or a special plate?

Dear Sirs:

Errant engine noises are one of the most difficult things to diagnose from 2nd hand descriptions or personal accounts.

Let's give it a whirl anyway:

1) Does the noise vary with the engine revs? Lumalakas ba siya kapag tumataas ang rebulusyon ng makina?

- If so, then its engine related. If not then there's another reason for it. Just in case, check your air cleaner closely, maybe there's a leak or its loose.

- of course the worst thing would be a bearing problem.

2) Is there a pulsing to the sound or is it continuous?

If the sound pulses, it could be associated with the engine firing - blown cylinder head gasket or leaky exhaust system.

Humina ba ang brakes mo - could be a leak in the vacuum system.

3) If it is speed and NOT engine related then (Like Ronn suspects) it could be associated with your drivetrain.

Bring it to an experienced and competent mechanic, its most likely its a minor thing. Better to have it checked than worry about it or listen to my horror stories.

@ csi28: OC ka na pare. hehe. ganda ng walang rear bumper bro. black tint ka pla kala ko magic tint. parang may tinatago ah. chrome tailgate handle ba nakuha mo sa autosupply store? kelan lift at MT tires, bago mag-EB ba?
