here is an interesting comparo of the dimensions of the CX-7 (5 seater) versus the Sta Fe (7 seater)

    CX-7
    Length (mm) 4674
    Width (mm) 1871
    Height (mm) 1646
    Wheelbase (mm) 2750

    Sta Fe
    Length (mm) 4675
    Width (mm) 1890
    Height (mm) 1795
    Wheelbase (mm) 2700

the CX-7 is as long as the Sta Fe

*daimengrui -- i am still monitoring my fuel consumption. i have posted though an intial report in this thread. so far, 1/2 tank na ako and about 185km of registered travel na

    Hmm..rate you're going its 5-6 km/l
Fuel tank capacity of CX7 = 69 liters
    Computed as follows 185km/(69liters/2) = 5.44km/l

possible. i will manually compute on my next refill at the gas station. so far the on board computer is registering an average of 17km/100li or about 5.88km/li with an average speed of 15kph. pero pag hindi lang stop and go, the on board computer registers about 7km-10km/100li. patay talaga ako sa stop and go and short distance travels.

i have not taken the CX-7 on the SLEX or NLEX yet and i am looking forward to this

listed fuel tank capacity of the CX-7 is 62 liters, as per the specifications in the mazda website

yeah don't feel so bad about ur fuel economy. u should expect it to be bad since ur mostly stuck in traffic idling....

kahit nga nung nag test drive ako ng Ford Focus TDCi, it was just showing 12li/100km (8.3kpl). and yung Gen2. Honda Jazz was showing about 6kpl.... those were test drive units and mostly sitting in traffic.

but do let us know once u let her out in the open road like SLEX and NLEX.....

fuel economy in city driving and running at an average of 15kph (current average reading on the onboard computer) can really hurt any car's mileage. on the upside though is the fun in driving the CX-7. it is really a drivers car and i am finding all little and any excuse just to drive this -- even going to places nearby where i usually just walk, herherherher

i can't wait to drive this on the nlex and slex

will be posting my mileage once i do my next top up. so far, the needle is at the 3/8 level

i am still waiting for my plates. pero okay lang. i was stopped once by the makati MAPSA but i just showed them the delivery receipt and okay na. and sabi lang ay "sir, 7 days lang ito ha"

tonight (about 30 minutes ago), some unlit manila police car was following me, nag wangwang and flashed a handheld spotlight on me from the rear. i just ignored this unlit idiot of a unit and when i turned into a hotel with a well lighted driveway, hindi na sumunod. baka gusto mangngotong kasi kung seryoso sila mag check, eh, di puede naman sumunod at doon kami mag usap sa liwanag.

by the way, the fuel i used above is shell E10 unleaded

from what i gathered from the internet, E10 reduces fuel economy by about 4.3%. no wonder medyo mababa ang fuel economy

are there any gas stations left that sells unleaded fuel without E10 component?

thanks for all the feedback. i will experiment with different gasoline brands

luckily on my last top up, i decided to try petron not knowing about this E10 and fuel economy issue. my 2nd fuel economy report will be using petron unleaded
