Hi guys! first time car buyer here.

Just want to get an informed decision before sealing the deal with Mazda 3.
The low DP of 95K all in plus freebies of SIDE SKIRTS, REAR SPOILER, FOG LAMPS AND TAIL PIPE FINISHER and standard PMS and Tint is very tempting.

Just wanted to know the Fuel consumption of the 1st gen Mazda 3, Maintainance and After sale issues?

And if any are there any complains regerding this car?
(ang gulo maghanap dito sa thread eh )

Or shall I wait for the 2nd generation?

    Thank you in advance!

okidoc - Welcome to Tsikot. With that low DP sir, how much naman ang monthly nyan? Baka magulat ka sa interest. Test drive mo muna then try other new cars out there then decide

    Thank you sir!

Im eyeing for the S variant. 17,500++ ang monthly amortization for 5 years. Im setting aside around 23k monthly for the car and the gas na dapat. Very tempting ang DP na "all in" kaya im contemplating on this one. Unlike other Brands on its class (20% Dp, chattel, plus insurance) mejo malaki ang cash out. it will take a while before i can buy one. Hehehe

Any suggestion sir na mas better na car on its class?

Anyway, FC ng 1.6L Mazda 3, 7km/L heavy traffic, can go as high as 16km/L Highway driving(80km/h max speed)

1000km and 10000km PMS, free.

You can consider Chevrolet Cruze, Lancer EX or wait for the 2011 Hyundai Elantra if you can still wait.

    Happy Car shopping!

Okay na din pala pag Mazda 3 in terms of FC .. I mean ofcourse who would not like to have a doule digit km/L pero stuck ka naman sa smaller cars. Need a little representation din. My use of the car will pretty much be house to clinic and vice versa (around 20km)

Cruze sir? medyo na-truma kami sir we were one of those who got tricked with the OPTRA.. Very poor Fuel consumption.. I think 5 km/L and worse super mahal ng parts.. Its already a 5 year old car.. Every 2 months may bagong sira ( air con/ Transmission / and etc) each time mag papa ayos minimum gastos 20K
I heard under new management. FC po ng Cruize?

    Thank you sir

So far wala naman maraming major issues ang Cruze I think. Yung Mazda 3 kahit 7 years na siya locally, pwede pa rin mag stand-out externally and internally. Engine lang talaga di pwede mag stand-out.

that All-in downpayment looks very tempting but interest rate is around 52%. Liit nga cash out but in the end you're paying much more.

If you can wait a month or so and increase your dp, that would be much better. Don't be tempted by those "freebies", you paid for those din.

sir pag nag bangko ka hindi nila ibibigay sayo ng Low Down Payment Scheme yan..laging 20% + Chattel Mortage + LTO (minsan free) + insurance..

sor kung magbabangko ka malamang hindi na yan tempting, i was one of the buyers who opted for their 2008 promo for mazda 3 (1.6s) 60k DP all in tapos 16k monthly for 5yrs..

pag inantay mo ang new model..wala ng promo..hindi na low down payment.

Thank you sa mga feedback mga sir!

Very tempting lang talaga ang offer ngayon. I just hope I can manage to restrain and wait for the 2012 model.. kaya lang I'm also considering since bago baka madami issues na lumabas.. Unlike sa current MZ3 after 7 years(tama ba?) still in the market pa din and may bumibili pa. Goes to show na i think ok naman.

Sir Actor any negative feedback on your Mazda 3?

    Thans

In house yun sir. 20% minimum DP pag sa bank eh.. 15% ata sa eastwest. Not to mention may insurance and chattel mortgage. Still I'l put some thought in this info sir thank you

sir, its a very temting offer but i guess this is for in-house financing lang. pag bank loan baka wala mga freebies at 20% uli ang DP mo. may friend ako na temp sa freebies at lo DP ayun nasa 45% ang int rate. ang alam ko medyo mataas ang FC ng mazda3 based sa kapitbahay namin driving mazda3.

depende kasi kung driving comfort at looks ok ang mazda3, pero kung resale value still toyota and honda pa din. parts wise cheaper and toyota. pero kung compact sedan naman, i suggest go for hyundai accent kasi mababa ang PMS ng hyundai at mura pa ang parts.

Low dp = high interest. If it's ok for you to have 300-350K interest in 5 years then go ka na but if not then think twice.
I just don't like the leg room at the back seat, masyado masikip for me.

since i dont like the looks of the next gen ( big grill, off tails ) i'd get the current 3 now. better if you opt for the 2.0L variant, mas pogi, much faster and more toys.

But for 2012 Mazda 3, Ok lang to sa akin kung Sky-active technologies equipped na to. At wala na yung BIG grin

Will go for the current gen as well. The front of the new gen isn't appealing at all to me... saw it personally in Sydney and the fact na parehas na parehas ang side profile niya sa current gen na Mazda 3 doesn't help either.

we have a 2010 S variant. it's trouble free motoring . gas consumption roguhly 6-7km/l. personal ride ko naman july 2010 mazda 2. like you said. may mga maliliit na niggles na nirereklamo sa casa pa. bago sa market e. hehehe

cousin ko naman bumili ng 2010 S variant with kits, fogs, and others. sulit na sulit siya. reklamo lang niya is medyo makupad (he came from a 1.8l FD civic na manual tranny.hehe )
