taking SCTEX is way lot better, faster and hassle free compared to SF exit route

NLEX / SCTEX for me anytime, night or day. Advantage of the other route is that you're much nearer to civilization, (gas stations, fastfood joints, roadside mechanics, etc.) Don't traverse SCTEX at night when you're not sure on the mechanical condition of your vehicle.

When using NLEX/SCTEX, it's also a good idea to keep the ff. phone nos. of the Tollways Management Corp in your cellphones:

    Emergency Hotlines:
    (02)3.5000; (02) 580.89.11; (0918) 906.14.01

    Customer Service Hotline:
    (02)580.89.10

Up ko lang po si thread...

Anyone got the latest toll fees if I do the NLEX (Dau) > SCTEX route, and also if I go NLEX (SF) > JASA > SCTEX (Dinalupihan) route?

Any issue with either route, btw?

    Subic via SCTEX:
    45 + 173 + 132 + 22 = P372

    Subic via OG Road:
    45 + 112 + 35 + 22 = P214

Subic via OG road is actually faster, unless you don't follow the speed limit on SCTEX and drive at 120-140 kph all throughout, since it's 30 km longer.

Only problems with OG road right now are the road constructions in the Dinalupihan area (3 bridges + road reblocking), but traffic is generally moving (albeit slow). The rest of OG road is free and you can cruise at 80-100 kph safely.

30km more -> 20 min dagdag lang naman ang if running at 100kph. Shorter pag 120kph and the fact na talagang walang traffic dito

Saan banda? Sa daan-daang beses kong dumaan ng OG, hindi nagtatraffic sa Guagua. Dalawa lang stoplight diyan, Sta. Rita and Floridablanca intersections. It will add at most 2 minutes to your trip if both lights are red. Even with the current road construction in between the 2 intersections, it still doesn't clog up.

San Fernando (Manila-bound) clogs up at around 5-7pm, but you won't really feel it if you exit at NLEX since the bottleneck ends at Toyota San Fernando, which is less than 200m from the NLEX toll booth.

Actually bro, hindi "walang traffic" ang NLEX-SCTEX. [emoji28]

I dunno if you've ever tried driving on a busy weekend in the North, but the Mabalacat tollgate clogs up really badly, adding as much as 20-30 min to your travel time.

Hindi ka rin makakatakbo ng consistent 120 sa SCTEX because there's a ~5 km stretch from Porac that's only one lane because of the bridge construction.
