April 16th, 2008 08:21 PM #1Mga sir bibili na sana ako ng mags kanina but i noticed na lahat ng
Aftermarket wheels na gusto ko has a larger hub opening than the stock hub size.

I just had hub-centric rings fabricated at Autoplus. They cost me PhP2000 for a set of four.
The center spigot should mount flush with the wheel's center bore as it should carry the weight of the car, not the wheel studs. The studs were never designed to carry weight, so if they become load-bearing structures they can shear off the hub assembly due to the strain. You can say bye-bye wheel then.
Here is the wheel on my car without a hub-centric ring. Notice the gap between spigot and center bore.
Here is the wheel after fitment of a custom-fabricated hub-centric ring. The wheel now sits flush with the spigot.
Lastly here are the rings themselves.

ayus.
