The way our Tsikoters are complaining about Kia's management and dealers (esp. re. the Picanto) , parang ang dating sakin is stay away from their cars muna.

Sayang, gumaganda na ang Kia cars but kung ganun ang treatment nila sa customers nila, wag nalang.

    *sigh*

sir zechs, ibig sabihin ba pag keyless entry ok na din? would have preferred kahit man lang immobilizer. a steering wheel lock naman can only do so much good.

sir pissword, will do. ang dami nilang add-on options na di mavo-void warranty pero alarm wala

FYI nga pala. Eto cost ng add'l accessories:

    spoiler 7,700
    fog lamp 2,150
    keyless entry 3,500
    center locking 2,100
    leather seatcover 8,540

latest i got was babalikan daw ako tuesday about the warranty for the alarm...mga 12k daw aabutin pero i-confirm pa nila kung ok pa warranty after ilagay.

sir wulf, orig choice ko naman kasi talaga yung grand vitara kaya lang nung nakita ko yung posts nyo dito naging curious ako and ayun, biglang nagulo mundo ko hehehehe....:D

The dealer will not know if the alarm came from them or their authorized installer if and when the time comes to make a warranty claim on something electrical. They don't make any records of it (or are too lazy to bother to check).

Been there done that (with Kia Quezon Ave.). Service guy still honored the warranty. That despite of my Kia having a new head unit, hard-wired automobile cellular phone, anti-theft system, new speakers, etc.

now there's a very tough choice hehe... pre-owned gen2.5 pajero or new sorento LX

sa tingin ko sa pajero ako kung ako yung bibili hehe. proven tough, mura parts, better service options, larger, and better off-road.

but the sorento is a better vehicle in general than the old pajero, of course being 10 or so years younger than the venerable paj :D

lapu, kia cebu is located at the former 877 corporation, they used to carry nissan, kia, then a lot of other brands. It's the road going to the old mactan bridge.

MBT, wouldnt the sorrento also be good for offroad? How is its 4x4? AWD or full time like the CRV/Rav4, which is not really that good for muddy conditions? The pajero is in a bigger class than the sorrento, but its really looking its age. Agree ako with your opinion, di ko rin alam which would be the wiser choice.

The Sorento is built pretty much like a Pajero. Boxed frame, dual-range 4WD (with 4L setting), live rear axle, etc.

I saw a unit displayed at the market market sa Fort last sunday.

Ganda nga sorrento and very attractive yung price nya.

Definitely better than an AUV or a mini SUV for that matter. given a choice between this and let's say a 4x2 CR-V sa sorrento na ako.

More spacious and better interior ammenities.

wala lang foglamps and manual yung sidemirror adjustment.

The local Diesel version does 12 km/l, while the gas does a lowly 4 km/l.
