hello...Im planning to get this unit..medyo wala pang masyado feedback sa mga users. baka meron po na po bago owner na pede din magshare![]()
Sir I do not own a Carens but what would be prohibiting people from getting this would be the bad rep of the suspension. A cousin living in Antipolo has the old one and is having issues with the suspension as they cannot pinpoint the problem. Do you think the 2013 suspension has been improved?
The deal breaker here is the price... Too pricey.... For a Kia...

the 12-14 is mostly Metro Manila driving. i work at the Entertainment City and goes home to Merville through Multinational.
I agree with you sir on this...
Comparing the Carens EX with the Top of the Line Toyota Innova Diesel, obviously the Carens EX has all the edge except that the Innova has a higher ground clearance... Price difference between the two is around 260K but with the discounts given by Kia for the EX variant, the price difference would go as low as 100K which I think is very very reasonable considering all the features you are getting with the Carens EX...
By the way I currently own the previous gen Toyota Innova V...
Thanks sir!
For sure if ever I will get the Carens much better pa ang FC because my daily route is from Alabang to Cabuyao, Laguna via SLEX.
Normal driving speed ko is 80 to 100kph![]()

hi louie, i am sure you will enjoy the new carens. the same way i am enjoying it. i thought i made a mistake when i sold my ford escape to buy a carens. to my surprise, these two (carens & escape) are two of my most comfortable rides ever.
thanks sir Louie sa pagsagot sa mga text ko. Dami ko natutunan po. Salamat sir ulit
sir obet follow up question. paano kung hinataw mo kotse mo then nag on na yung turbo, then suddenly na stock kana sa traffic, so practically, napapahinga na ang turbo, pagdating ba sa bahay need mo pa rin palamigin bago mo patayin engine? and btw, ano ba speed ng crdi evgt para gumana na ang turbo? thanks
Not an expert myself but I remember that Hyundai/Kia vehicles with CRDi engines have a quick way of determining if you need to cool down the engine before shutting off. I used to drive Hyundai and Kia's for work before and the information they gave us during the turnover seminar was that the speedometer had a redline around the 60 kph mark (though it differed between models - the company I used to work for bought Getz and Rios models for the fleet). Once you pass the redline, the turbo would usually activate and as such would need to pass a minute or two of idling before turning it off. In practice though, whether I speed past the red line I'd wait before shutting it off. My coworkers though didn't think much of it though. Nevertheless, I'd err on the side of caution with CRDi's and idle a minute or two before shutting it down. Also, reading the owner's manual wouldn't hurt.
