yes sir parehas tayo around 2k-2.5k shifting point ko, i thing if we stay on that powerband bukod sa malakas hatak eh matipid sa FC, pero sir 7.5km/L is still high IMHO, ako
kasi poorest fc ko 8km/L which is super heavy traffic,yung tipong 2hours mo tatakbuhin yung 20kms. Normal consumption ko is 10kms/L manual computation. sa trip computer naka register is 8.5-9.5L/100kms always 2 pa kami ni Misis nakasakay. Just computed manually my fc. 7km/l. I am using Shell V-Power Nitro + 93 RON.
Distance: 73.1 km (From 1st trip Fairview to Taguig to Mandaluyong; 2nd trip Mandaluyong - Taguig - Fairview).
City Driving: Heavy Traffic Morning Rush for 1.5 hours; 0.5 hrs light to medium traffic; Total of 2 hrs time of travel
Ave. Speed: 10 km/h (based from dashboard)

I'm fine with my fc in city driving kasi talagang mataas talaga dahil sa traffic

Pero masaya ako in highways sa fc lalo na pag tuloy tuloy like Manila - Tagaytay, my fc is 16km/l consistently.

Malapit na rin akong mag pa 2nd PMS; baka dito nalang ako sa Wheels E.Rod, tapos tanong ko yung magandang semi synthetic oil nila.

Ipapa wheel balance ko na rin and tire rotation kasi nag alarm na sa akin for tire rotation.

So far and so good with my Rio HB. Unique tayo sa kalye!

I mean sa screen meron dun average speed..Starting from point A pag dating niyo sa point B (your usual route)... Park your car.. Ano reading ng average speed? Then at the end of the day (nagrereset yung average reading if the car has been turned off for coulple of hours), from point B to point A (paguwi sa bahay naman) ano naman ang reading?

FYI, the ECO function whether naka ON or OFF niya.. it does no effect on engine performance.. It only shows if your are driving economically or not.. Dati akala ko kapag naka OFF yun eh ala sports mode yung hatch.. hindi pala..

Actually, pag maaga like 5-6AM sobrang luwag ng daan sa Espana kaya medyo mabilis ang byahe... ang pinakamataas kong nakita na Fuel Economy sa trip computer ng rio is 14l/100kms( 7.14km/l).

That is my fc if worst yung traffic. But normal city driving with average speed of 17-20km/h is 10-12km/l. Maganda rin ang fc kapag fewer stop lights.

nagpafull tank ako kanina, nakalimutan ko exact figures ko pero nakuha ko 7.81KM/L with heavy traffic and idle na yan.

Tas pag medyo maganda ang traffic condition, nakukuha ko 8.5-9km/l.

lagi ko gamit caltex GOLD, isang beses lang ako gumamit ng blaze pero parehas lang tingin ko.

Meron ba dito nakapagpalit na ng head unit? Gusto ko rin kase and nagcanvass na ako sa Kia, medyo mahal lang kase kasama pati screen sa headrests. Di pa ako nababalikan kung magkano pag magpapalagay sa mga headrest. Key features that I want is GPS, TV tuner, DVD/VCD/MP3 player.

Guys, ginagamit niyo ba yung Instant Fuel Consumption monitor on the Rio's Multi-Information Display?

I've been looking at it usually lately and noticed that when starting to accelerate from a full stop, the numbers are constantly around the 25-30L/100km mark, then when I feel the car shifting gears, bumababa siya to 20-25L/100km.

Only when I hit 3rd gear do the numbers start looking good, around 10-15L/100km, and even around the 5L/100km mark when coasting.

Pero for the 1st and 2nd gears, parang ang taas ng fuel consuption niya?

Tapos when going uphill (paakyat ng steep parking for example), pumapalo yung consumption ng 40 or even 50L/100km.

Hi,

Meron ding akong Rio HB. I have tried both unleaded (93) and premium (95). Mas maganda nga talaga humatak pag premium ang gamit. Hindi naman ako naka-experience ng kumakatok yung makina when I used unleaded or premium. Meron kase ditong nagsabe na gumanun daw yung Rio HB nila.

Now, premium na gamit ko, konti lang difference tsaka parang mas matipid pa tuloy kase mas magaan apak sa gas. Try mo kahit 500php worth of premium; ramdam mo naman agad.

Tsaka para na rin sa iba.. Nakukuha ko kase ang fuel consumption ko ng mga 10-11 km per liter. Pag medium traffic, mga 8-9 km per liter. Ang ginagawa ko, hinay lang ako apak sa gas, maraming pasensya, medyo mabagal lang minsan mag-accelerate, pero kelangan para makatipid. Tapos naka-set display ko sa Instantenous Fuel Consumption para mabantayan kong wag lumagpas ng 10L mark.

hindi nyo ba napansin hindi na nila mina market ang hatchback due to poor fuel consumption lalo na naglabasan mga bago kalaban sonic and the mirage,well kung mag complain ka uli sa columbian wala din mangyari,what we need is a formal complaint post sa facebook account nila and then mag comments na lang yun mga naka rio5

Sayang... so sad na makita ang fuel consumption.. I was approved for this at 20% down and 13K * 60 months. Well,. still trying to get that interest down.. They are throwing in tint, mats, and backup sensor for free..

But was reading this thread for four hours... and sayang talaga.. gusto ko ang looks interior/exterior. the drive was great din when I test drive. as for the FC, i am ok with that right now.. but 5 years down the road, how much na ang gasolina per liter tapos ganito FC ko, ayoko.. I know, this could be an isolated issue but ang hirap.. buti na sigurado esp when that kind of money is involved.
