Hi..Newbie dito sa forum. Ask ko lg kng meron ba mga aftermarket na mga parts? Like yung headers? Yung mga camshaft, crankshaft? Kia Rio 1.2 Lx 2012 pala kotse ko.

Not sure if this will help the M/T owners on their fuel economy but I found the gear ratios for the Rio in the Kia UK website. These figures are not published in the Philippines but more likely than not these would also be applicable here.

1.25L Petrol 5-Speed M/T
1st - 3.545
2nd - 1.895
3rd - 1.192
4th - 0.906
5th - 0.719
Reverse - 3.636
Final - 4.600

1.4L Petrol 6-Speed M/T
1st - 3.769
2nd - 2.045
3rd - 1.370
4th - 1.036
5th - 0.893
6th - 0.774
Reverse - 3.700
Final - 4.059

Just want to share my fc figures.

kia Rio 1.4 EX MT

city drive with heavy traffic (Metro Manila drive and Edsa) - 7km/l. this happened during christmas season. around 2.5 hours ako sa edsa nun. gapang talaga.

city drive with moderate/light traffic - can easily achieve 9-11 km/l

Highway drive 13 - 15 km/l. 90kph - 100kph. konting pitik ng 120 kph.

okay naman fc ko IMO.

Changed the way I drive recently. I started taking advantage of the EFI deleration fuel cut-off. FC is starting to improve. Basically I maintain a gear (2nd-3rd and 4th gears) that keeps me within the 1.8~2.5k rpm range. I avoid using the 5th and 6th gears if i do not go beyond 50km/h and 70km/h respectively. As per trip computer, I improved from 11.2L/100km (8.92km) to 10.7/100km (9.345km/L). The FC improvement was from a day's worth of driving around 30km * 13km/h ave. The 11.2L/100km was for about half-tank worth of driving. I am getting 0.0~1.8L/100km readings even at 30-40km speeds.

Will continue observing for the remainder of the tank.

yung EX-S lang meron dual airbags.

7km/liter for MT, medyo malakas yata sa gas for a small car. Thanks for sharing the info.
