Hi guys just want to share.
Model: Sportivo 2011
Transmission: A/T
ODO: 12km
FC: 10km/Liter
Route: City driving (Malanday-Ortigas via edsa)
Fuel: Caltex
Is this considered economical? Comparing to FC is same or a little less than our Montero A/T.
The Montero has a range of 10~11km/liter.
I was expecting for it to be like 12~14km/liter.
Thanks your thoughts guys...
Based on my experience sa crosswind na matic, ok na yan sir. I think masmagiging efficient pa sya habang tumatagal.
Yan din comparison ko before, kase I'm getting 8-9km/L on my XTO matic, while sa Strada MT namin, I'm getting 11-12km/L with the same driving conditions here sa province. I was bothered nung una pero I realized, in the long run, baka masmatipid pa din ito dahil jurassic engine, so ang maintenance masmababa. I notice everytime may nasisira or kelangan i-replace sa Strada, mahina na ang 15-20k dahil mahal parts at mas-modern na ang technology. Sa XTO ko, napalitan na ng tie rod end after 8 years, at kung ano-ano pa sa ilalim, di pa umabot ng 10k (provided marunong kang maghanap ng parts).
Para sakin, ganito ang analogy ko dyan:
Crosswind - Nokia 5110
Other more advanced tech vehicles - Samsung Galaxy S III (or any smartphone for that matter)
If your purpose for the phone is mainly texting/calling and don't need the advanced features others have, dun ka na sa 5110 since it serves the purpose naman, subok pang matibay.
However, if you want a fancier phone and need/want all the extra features for a phone, sa smartphone ka na.
Mga guys may sportivio kami kailangan na magchange oil san ba maganda mag pa change oil and filter? ano ba recommend nyo na oil and how much kaya sya tga sucat paranaque ako sana may ma suggest kau na mura and maganda quality and service.
Just observed again fuel consumption in my XUV AT Crosswind 2009 ODO Km. 52000
Last weekend, March 8-10 2013...route Batangas- Mariveles(Bataan) - Batangas
Passengers: 4
Distance: 552.5 Km.
Fuel: 45.67 Liters
Ratio: 12.09 Km/ Liter
My itinerary: from Lipa Batangas,Star tollway, SLEX, EDSA, NLEX exit San Fernando then national road up to Mariveles town, made visit in MAAP, back again in Mariveles town. Going back to Batangas, from Mariveles, take national road to San Fernando, NLEX, exit Meycauayan, attend sunday mass in Obando church, then enter Meycauyan to NLEX to A. Bonifacio(made shopping in Divisoria), then SLEX to Star tollway to Lipa Batangas.
Hi guys! I'm an owner of 2012 Dmax LS 4x2 MT Radikal Edition, I just wanna share my fuel consumption...
My city driving is 15Km/L
Long driving is 21.6Km/L
Matitipid talaga mga hinDMAXsiado 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ sir, relatively-speaking, compared to the other pickups and even to a lot of smaller size AUV's like the Crosswind, Adventure, and Innova 2.5 D-4D, lalo na pag sa long-drive na may mga mountainous routes (akyatan).
Along a combined city-driving, a bit of freeway (SLEX at that time when i recorded), and generally provincial and town roads, 17.0 km per litre ang fuel mileage namin. Tested way back June 2010 from Metro Manila to Naga City in CWC. Sa Bitukang Manok ang daan namin that time.
Papuntang Baguio city naman, in December 2010, sa akyatan sa Marcos Highway, medyo upak kami dito running 75 to 85 kph at 4th-gear most of the time downshifting to 3rd in tight hairpins or switchbacks, consumo ko around 13.4 km per litre.
Both the 2010 recorded fuel mileage runs including the NLEX at SLEX runs, wala pa akong Racechip Pro diesel tuning kit that time. I just got the chip in September 2011. Hindi pa ako nag-test lately on the same routes, pero sa tingin ko mas tumipid ang D-max sa diesel. Fuel ko ngayon ay Shell V-Power Diesel.
Nang ang Innova 2.5 D-4D ang dinala namin sa Baguio noong January 2013, just few days after the New Year, pilit kong kunin ang ganyang speed sa D-max sa pag-akyat along Marcos Highway, ngunit puros hiyaw ang makina ng Innova. Nagalit pa si misis sa akin dahil baka in less than 1 year lang daw ibababa na ang makina ng Innova hehe....Sa ganyan medyo rat-rat na speed from Metro Manila all the way to Baguio City around 27 litres ang kinain ng Innova over a mileage of about 300 km. From Metro Manila, may dinaanan pa kami sa Meycauayan. Around 21 litres kinain ng D-max noong 2010 over 293 km.

I'm basing this on a close to 430 km driving to Naga City, at speeds of anywhere plus 70 kph to 100 kph, and from Metro Manila to Pangasinan province anywhere at speeds of 70 kph to 120 kph. We have an old 2004 D-max and a current Philippine-issue 2008 D-max.
Better wait for 1st quarter 2014, as the all-new D-max RT-50 is slated to be on showroom floors.... My honest opinion lang sir, save your money for the upcoming all-new D-max as the current Philippine D-max is already 2 generations behind ;)
Goodluck!
