i would like to ask some questions regarding my 2 dmaxes.
1st problem is with my 1st dmax, recently i have noticed that the AC on my Dmax after a 1 hour of continuos driving releases this white smoke-like air (odorless) then loses its coolness no matter what the temp setting is. I have already brought it to some car aircon shops and surprisingly they cant seem to find out whats wrong then just pinpoints us to others shop. ano kaya sa tingin nyo ang problema? its really bothering me kasi baka mamaya may bigla na lang pumutok o kung ano pa man. then
2nd problem is regarding my 2nd dmax, naddrain yung wiper water reserve nya and im guessing may butas sya but dont know how to remove the whole assembly or if its possible. im a DIY guy kaya hindi ko muna basta dinadala agad sa talyer.

Mga Sirs, just like to ask for some comparison with my 4x4 Isuzu Dmax 2012. It's only 7 months old with odo at around 16K km. Di ko alam kung magsisisi ako
1. Sadya ba talaga maingay ang makina ng Dmax lalo na sa 1st at 2nd gear? Lalo na sa arangkada at 1st gear subrang ingay talaga.
2. Ang hirap i-adjust ng driver at passenger seats, matigas forward and backward with eek...ekkk...ekkk sounds kapag gumagalaw.
3. Power windows both driver and passenger sides so difficult to open and close, sumikip agad and window linings (rubber).
4. Mis-aligned front wheels. Di ko lang pinansin ang kabig ng steering wheels kasi iniisip ko bago ang sasakyan and after 5K km, pudpod na ang gilid ng mga gulong.
5. Maalog masyado ang Dmax ko, sumusuka passengers ko sa back seats o baka di lang sanay ang family ko sumakay.
6. Mahina power nya kapag nasa 130 kph na. Di ako makahabol sa Hilux

Sympre consult your owners manual (kahit online copy). A good second i use is shell website lube match.
What used before is
1. Same as engine oil. Mine is 15w40 delo400.
2. I recall sae90 gl5. Yun good for LSD.
3. Too expensive kaya kulang ako ng isa ilan taon na nakalipas
4. Hindi pa sira akin.

6) Based on my almost 5 yrs of ownership, I didn't find it losing power at 130 kph. From 0 to 60 kph, medyo mabagal talaga siya. Ung mga Adventure, L300, Crosswind, jeepneys, mga old school diesel engines, pwede ka pa niyang buntutan. Pero wag na silang umasa, unless kargado makina nila, pag umabot ka na ng 80 kph kasi aarangkada na yan up to 175 kph. Ang pag asa nilang mahabol ka ay when you reduce speed. Kahit ung mga modern diesel engines, kung hindi rin lang naman lalagpas ng mahigit 185 kph ang speed nila, bubuntutan ka lang ng Dmax at hindi mo yan maiiwanan. Pero pag mga 190 kph or more na, lalayo na ang distance ng auto na un.
So sa sinasabi mo na hindi ka makahabol sa Hilux at 130 kph, mabagal pa un para hindi mo mahabol based on my experience.
Dalhin mo na yan sa dealership at ipa check mo kung ano ang nagko cause ng problems na yan. Baka kasi may problem ka na sa EGR, SCV, fuel filter, air filter. Maraming possible reasons for low power.

Just heard from Isuzu SA, mayroon na reservation for the new Dmax (2014 model) hindi ito ung luma .... na binago lang grill or mags.

Be aware that the new D-max being issued right now by Isuzu Thailand for the SE Asian market (outside of Thailand) is mated only with the 2.5-litre 4JK1-TC engine, not the vaunted 3.0-litre 4JJ1-TCX. This 2.5-litre diesel engine is rated only at 136 hp with 320 Nm torque. The 3.0-litre is the one with the 180 horses with 380 Nm torque.
Though i hope, as well as any other Isuzu guy, this D-max for the Philippine market will come with the 3.0-litre engine ;)

Grabe naman ang Isuzu Phil pag ang ilalabas nilang all new Dmax ay ganyan lang ang engine. After a very long wait, sa halip na madagdagan ang hp, mas lalo pang bumaba though the torque got higher. Wala ng masyadong magkaka interest sa Dmax considering ang gaganda ang offer ng competitors. Unless die hard fan na talaga siya ng Dmax. Well, maganda naman kasi talaga, sulit sa performance. My unit is more than 5 yrs old, though a few problems here and there before, overall, hindi siya sakit sa ulo.
