    No sir. All it does is just raise the rail pressure. There's no wire splicing needed, nothing elaborate like that. Besides, most Isuzu mechanics are familiar about the Racechip Pro or any other locally-sold diesel EFi chips, and they don't even tinker them when they do servicing.

    However, if you're still pedantic about it, all you need to do is remove the kit from the engine bay and plug the dummy chip (which also comes with the tuning kit). Just remember to cover/seal the dummy in case you will have your engine washed by the service centre after the maintenance work been completed.

    This is how the Racechip Pro looks like, plus you have the lovely Ms. Mika-niko Umali install it for you

    Our two Dmax's (one old 4JH1-TC and one current model 4JJ1-TC) are pretty much just bone stock. Just use the stock Goodyear tires, use good engine oil (e.g. Mobil 1 Delvac Gold 5W-40), use high-Cetane diesel fuel like the Shell V-Power diesel (especially for the commrail model - the 4JJ1-TC), always make sure that you run a clean air filter (i change my OEM air filter every 10,000 km usage since i always prefer new ones), and you're set to go.

    By the way, my 4JJ1-TC Dmax is mated with a Racechip Pro diesel EFi tuning chip and it runs great yet is thrifty on fuel....

    Don't also know anything more about Total Petroleum company synthetic oils, apart from the fact (again) that it's another Frenchy fries oil hehe

    Just read through this that i posted in the other Isuzu thread, somehow you can deduce which parameters you should also be looking for aside from just the outside label in canister that says anything like 5W-40 or 15W-40 etc etchetera.... Oil weights written in the bottles can only guide you so much.... You really have to read through the product information data sheet (not the MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheet) to know more about your oil.

    There are 3 possible causes that I know of. One is your fuel filter might be contaminated with water which was caused by dirty fuel. 2nd is the SCV or Suction Control Valve must be busted already. 3rd and the most expensive of the 3 is your EGR might need to be replaced.

    I have experienced it firsthand too. The first time it appeared, the engine felt weak and died. It took I think another week then it lit again. But this one is different. It never disappeared or unlit anymore. After almost 25k+ kilometers and 9 months of it on my dash, the truck is still running properly. The dealer said it's the EGR but I never had the chance to have it replaced since the first time, Isuzu Commonwealth told me that it would take 3 months for that part to arrive. After 4 months I followed up, they told me that it's still not available. Then the months kept moving that's why up to now it's still not fixed. But the car is running ok anyway so I am not really bothered. I even brought it to Ilocos, Quezon, Tagaytay and to lots and lots of places and it never failed. I just don't know for how long it could hold, though.

    Better to just bring it to your dealer so they could diagnose the problem since they use a computer to analyze it.
    Got the same issue with my 2004 LS at 93K Km. Isuzu casa required me to replace oil cooler but they have no stock that time and they quote way too expensive at Php24K. How an oil cooler related to this problem? My truck is running perfectly anyway except that after the last PMS, the engine sometimes turn off couple of times. It's been 3 months and it become normal now.

    Anything to worry about?

    Parang yan nga yata sir ang correct part no. Will you get it from Banaue Avenue?

    Be aware lang sir since i still have my K&N but have gone back to stock OEM air filter ever since i used the K&N for quite a few instances - mabilis dumumi ang K&N sir lalo na sa air environment natin. Maganda yan sa mga bansang hindi mataas ang particulates sa hangin.

    You may try sir but you have to clean it quite often if you're particular about the cleanliness of your filter, as each short time it gets dirty, you'll notice that it's almost just the same response you're getting from your engine when using the OEM filter.

    I haven't tried Hurricane air filters though.

    Why this good bloke chose the D-max over any other UTE for his avid outback riding around Oz.... Here's his heaps of no none-sense reasons why, of which we Isuzu owners know of already anyway haha!

    whats the best offset for our dmax rims? -5 or -10 offset? ito sana spec 20x9 265/50/r20 or kung kaya 275/50/r20, stock height! na try ko ung rims ng rota grid 20x8.5 285/50/r20 sabit ng kunti sa body kit pero kung walang body kit kasya sana! salamat!!!

    sabi sakin ng mekaniko ng casa pwede lang daw umabot kahit 10k km ang change oil interval pero daw kasi walang oil filter ang kayang tumagal ng 10k km kaya malaki ang chance na pasukin na ng dumi ang makina.... any comments mga master?
