mga pards pa help naman sa problem ko. dmax 2010 ls 4x4. kinakalas ko iyong headunit then nag shift ako sa drive para mausad ko iyong panel. nang nahirapan akong tanggalin ang panel ibinalik ko na lang. then nakita ko sa dashboard nakailaw ang 4 wheel drive. so pinindot ko lang iyong 2 wheel button. ngayon pag balik ko ng shift stick sa park parang na stuck lang ang position sa reverse. nang ginalaw galaw ko ang shifter ayaw na niyang mag shift kahit sa anong position. naging freewheeling lang ayaw kumagat kahit sa anong gear.

i don't isuzu,
but in my non-isuzu, that would mean na kumalas ang shift stick from the shift cable or whatever.

Sa cold start, umaandar. Pero kapag nabilad sa araw, ayaw umandar. Lumalabas "CHECK SYSTEM". Ganito lagi araw-araw. Paano po ang fix? Thank you.

Dun na nga kami papunta sa scanning. Sabi ng tatay ko nung una, pinalitan niya battery. After a few days, gnun ulit. Nung ako nag-drive, then ayaw umandar, buti may nakita ako 10mm wrench..after disconnect/connect ng battery umandar naman. Sa tatay ko, press and hold sa push start button hanggang umandar..inaabot ng more than 6 secs bago umandar. Then ung CHECK SYSTEM nandun sa dashboard..nawawala after a few minutes. Magpapalit muna kami ng fuel filter, mukhang d pa napalitan since nabili (Dec 2018). Based sa sticker under ng hood, every 10K kms ang palit ng fuel filter.

Scanning for DTC and/or live data is the best approach for now to help pinpoint the issue. Sa Diesel naman, you only need three basic things to run... fuel, compression, and timing.

Since it runs, somewhat, that crosses out compression and timing. It leaves us with fuel supply issues. I suggest that you go ahead with the PMS to check/replace the fuel filter (in-tank and engine compartment), check the fuel tank for contamination, injectors if it's clogged, check for air in the fuel system, and check both low-pressure and high-pressure fuel pumps.

any update after changing the fuel filter?

my besta once died on me, as i was entering our gate. it re-started, but died after a few seconds. had to push it in.
the next day, it started, but died after a few seconds. there was no warning light.
i had forgotten to replace the fuel filter, way beyond its schedule.
everything normalized after i did.

truly, the Big Guy above is teaching me, and in a less-pain way.

Fuel filter din, doc..never replaced ever since the truck was brand new.

Hindi maselan sa motor oil ang 4JJ1, kahit 40 CF ok lang sa kanya
(10W-30 or 15W-40 or 40 CF)
