If it's what I think it is, it should be "ok" but would create knocking noise every now and then.

Of course, it would be ideal to have it replaced the soonest. Slightly OT, my MB needed to have those replaced too..... wala pa pang gawa.

Well, thats true I noticed improvement when I had my "bald" stock tires (run already 70k kms.) replaced, had camber correction, wheel alignment and replaced an unnoticed leaking shock....

    Here's my experience last Saturday:
    1. I changed all of my 5 tires to a higher aspect ratio from the Stock Yokohama S306 205/65R15 (Outside Dia.=647mmŲ) to a Yokohama Geolandar G046 205/70R15 (Outside Dia.=669...a slightly larger diameter to the stock.

    2. Prior to mounting of tires, it was discovered that my Front Shock at Driver's side is already leaking, and the crossarm is already loose...so I asked these items to be replaced also.

    3. After the crossarm and replacement of front shocks (decided to replace both stock shocks and keep the old shocks as reserve)...They did the camber correction and alignment.

I dont know if it was purely subjective, but it feels just good to run the new tires with better dampening on humps and potholes...hehehe maybe its just me hahaha....

Guys... I would just like to ask those who have installed a roof rack above on the pre-installed rails. In the owner's manual the rails are only rated only up to 30kgs. capacity? Has anyone tried to load greater than 30kg?
Im asking this for the reason that I find 30kgs quite a light load for a sturdy rail...teka our rails are bolted..right? its not like those other rails being installed in other AUV's that uses heavy duty adhesive tapes for cosmetic purposes, right?
Has any tried to load something like 50kg or equivalent to the weight of 1 sack or rice on their roof racks?.....

Pero better be safe than sorry.

Hey! Did some fixing already huh? Pwede na Ro-Ro!

Yep, the OEM roofrails of Crosswinds are bolt on. Ergo, functional siya at di lang aesthetics. As to the max kg weight, pwede naman lumagpas sa 30kgs basta equally distributed yung load.

Hi Benz, Yeah....nakakailang kasing tumakbo na upod na yung front wheels hahaha, we did NLEX last time and I was worried the whole time knowing I've got "bald" tires up front...but it got me from A to B without any hitches...
Actually, it took me a long time to really decide which tire to choose... and decided to have a check on the steering and suspension na rin para ready anytime for long vacation hehehe.
By the way, during the shock and centerpost replacement, I was also adviced that my front brake pads are already due for replacement... It still has enough pads to last me a few trips but just the same, they told me to check the indicator every now and then.... well, I'll just send it for replacement next week na lang, naubos na ang baon ko hahaha.

Sir Sleep...actually, i have Benz to thank for owning this black XTi, he knows some managers at the plant who dispose their assigned units.
He mentioned this a few posts back...hehehe, di ba Benz

And yes sir sleep, I like the color, "Black"... classic, elegante, serious, parang tuxedo, coat and tie, formal.... I agree, ganda talaga ng dating ng black...but you have to keep it shiny para ma-maintain yung impression...hehehe.

As for the roof rack... Im still thinking if its worth installing.
actually I called up Alabang Casa to ask for the prices of the
racks...well the person in charge informed me that they have
a rack for 3.5k, another at 8k, and another at 9k...hmmm, ano
kaya pinagkaiba nito? I asked kung load rating ba nagkakatalo
kaya magkaiba ang pricing...hmm, the guy has no idea...

I though, haven't tried this yet but many forumers here have already inverted the last leaf in their Rear leaf springs and there's a lengthy discussion on that matter...here are just a few of these:

No worries. Tama yang direction mo. Prioritize functional (particularly if safety-related) concerns for this would give you peace of mind when traveling Ro-Ro to Cebu, ooppps.....

Kung may nahanap ka, please post the pictures and prices. Na-eexcite na tuloy ako.

hehehe... right, I got my referral from Benz, yung roof rack sir sleep... i see the need pag pupunta kami ng province. Kaya lang that would be only about less than 5 times a year siguro... so magagamit ko lang actually ang rack during those times otherwise, on normal days it would just be for aesthetics... kaya nga medyo, pinagiisipan ko pa talaga and if I would install one, kailangan ko ng capacity at least 50kgs...hehehe, anticipating the load of 1 sack of rice, kasi baka kailangan sa pagsundo sa luggages sa airport o pag may hinahatid...at least rated sya at that range para di ako kabahan na bigla na lang lumundo sa bubong ko yung mga luggages hahaha.
Oh by the way, sir Benz could definitely find you some racks... he's the guy.

    Sir Sleep....
(continuing our discussion on the leaf spring reversal)... here are some photos
i found in the d-max thread, this is just to satisfy our curiosity... its really up
to you if you'd want to experiment but for me, I'll stay stock muna sa "flexride"
kasi medyo bearable pa naman, its just that pag kami lang ni misis and the
other two kids and they decide to stay on the second row to sleep...well
sleepless talaga inabot nila one time noon...before my tire, shocks and centerpost
replacement...I have yet to try again on a not full load condition to see if
they still feel uncomfortable. Teka napahaba ata adlib ko hehehe, sorry sir sleep.
anyway, here are the photos of that LEAF SPRING REVERSAL TOPIC
    sa DMAX thread:
(Photos came from this discussion: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showt...t=9940&page=94 )

*im_mblue-Yeah. Sir benz is the guy. About doon sa suspension. I-papacheck ko nalang muna during PMS kung may way ba sila na mabawasan yung bounciness. As i look at the pics, parang natakot ako doon sa reversing ng leafspring.
