hindi ko gusto ride ng xuvi for long drive specifically xuvi 2003 turbo a/t. masakit sa katawan, steering wheel shaky - manila/batangas/manila.

i hope newer ones are already improved. based on experience btw.

Negative? Bad ride (bouncy when empty, rough when full), noisy, exhaust and radiator wear out easily (but I think they finally fixed the radiator back in 04 or 05, and the exhaust with the current model) and the tires are slippery in braking.

But I still can't imagine anything else being as useful and as rugged as our Crosswind. The only thing, really, that you need to do to make it better is to buy better shocks for the rear and better tires (to cure braking problems)...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Congrats on your new XUV Since my budget was limited, I bought a 03' XUV with 31K odo reading. These are what I have fixed;
    1. Changed rubber tube bushing (connecting the tubes from engine going to muffler) 1,600Php
    2. Changed the muffler 1,600Php
    3. Changed Oil seal bearing (At the lower portion of the engine) because of oil leak. 400Php(can't remember the price)+ 250 labor
    4. I put extra washer below the 2nd row seat because its loose (It makes sounds on bumpy roads) but now its fixed.
    5. It has a very very small leak of water at the upper rubber hose connected to the radiator in which I tightened the hose clip but the leak did not go.
Other than that, the vehicle is very reliable and impressive...
I get 14Km/l highway and 11-12km/l city. My max speed record was 142kph.

Better shocks. Better tires. Lower it to the same height as the regular Crosswind.

2006? So yours has the turbo already? You can try a small intercooler and exhaust upgrades for more speed, but I highly doubt you can get more than 100-110 hp out of it.

    got 2004 crosswind-automatic.. its downside

    1. the ride.. lalo na kung nasa likod ka, para kang nasa truck..anyway expect nothing more, this is truck based, so bouncy talaga... makukunan ang mga buntis!!

    2. ang bagal!!!, naka-floor na gas-pedal mo, may na-overtake pa sa yo.. truck ng basura..

***no-offense to crosswind user, but i switch to fort simply because im not satisfied...

agree... try driving manila-baguio, straight..or manila-ilocos norte. kakapagod yung drone ng engine nya. kundi vibration fatigue, noise fatigue ka. but it's bearable compared to driving an honer type jeep with all leaf springs susension yung sa likod ang kawawa.

    Questions:
    1. When the thread is merged what happened to the other threads of similar topic discussion? patay na ba yon?

    2. Between bridgestone and goodyear tire for crosswind which is better (eto lang kaya ng budget)

    Salamat.

regarding tagtag, engine noise etc... in fairness, am a frequent FX rider kasi until now specially when going to the nearest mall..parang wala namang pinagiba sa ibang AUV..meron nga mas grabe pa pag nagaa-accelerate parang nanginginig na halos makiliti ka eh

yung sa bayaw ko ngang revo na mas bago sa auto ko may kung ano anong ingay kang maririnig...i think in the long run isuzu crosswind is better...why dont they try this...say kumuha sila ng 2002 na models ng revo, adventure and crosswind..more or less same milage..then compare the ride...alin ang mas matipid, makalog, maingay etc..mukang mahirap gawin ito since maraming factors na na dapat i-consider aside from age..but why not, am pretty sure the crosswind will come out as winner.

Our '07 Isuzu Sportivo finally arrived yesterday! I can just gaze at it forever, but since my old car is a Kia Pride, I still need to get used to driving it around.

Anyone with comments on this car? Anything I should look out for?

So far, the only problem we've got is the third row seat, which produces noise when we hit bumpy roads. It's because one of the belts that's supposed to keep it in place keeps falling off.

Anyhow, I love its bells and whistles! Kudos to Isuzu for adding the reverse camera--it's amazing!

Thanks, guys! Anyway, we have the manual, and this year, ginawa na nilang Turbo. Pero nung pinag-drive ko yung bf ko today, sabi niya hindi raw halata yung Turbo. Is it because it's "Low-Charge Turbo"? What does "Low-Charge Turbo" mean anyway?

Mabait yung sub-dealer namin dito. Mag-asawa sila tapos ito yung business nila. Small city lang kasi, so we have mutual friends. Anyway, I dunno, pero I hope they won't change...

Hehe... the problem regarding dealers is that Isuzu Corp has relatively high casa prices. Kung kasosyo nyo naman, oks lang.

The turbo isn't obvious because it's low charge. Meaning it doesn't produce much power... with the new Euro2 emissions controls, a non-turbo Crosswind most likely would have 75 hp only... the turbo makes it around 85 hp, which is only about 3 hp more powerful than the old Crosswind.

Comments? I've driven all generations of the Crosswind previous to the Sportivo. I don't like the ride of the new ones, because they have stiffer springs to make up for their heavier weight (the original XUV rides nicer... and the Hilander rides even better than the XUV).

On the bright side, the newer ones don't have the radiator problems that the old ones did, as far as I know, and from what I've seen of the new exhaust, may flex pipe na siya, so hindi na siya mag-ra-rattle.

Besides the rattling seats and the ride, there are no more big problems with the Crosswind. Alagaan nyo lang ng maayos, and it'll last you a very long time.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Thanks chua_riwap!

I think the price was supposed to be 1,070,000... but we had to add 22k for freight, kaya naging 1,092,000... why? Mahal ba?
