So ibig sabihin nito, kahit mga dealer principals hindi rin talaga alam ang final specs.

Magkakaalaman na talaga kung sino ang pinaka bang for the buck na pick up based SUV pag lumabas na ito at yung all new Everest. For me para sa mga TOTL variant, it's still the Trailblazer LTZ followed closely by the Montero Sport GTV. Pagdating sa mid spec variants, Fortuner G 4x2 D-4D pa rin. Pag labas nitong MU-X in the coming weeks, doon ko lang masasabi if its mid spec variant will be the most bang for the buck mid spec variant SUV in the market.

Sadly we won't be getting the 3.0 VGS engine daw. Same 3.0 engine daw ng Alterra and current PHDM D-Max

"Powered by the same 4JJ1-TC 3.0-liter diesel engine, the X-Series has CRDi and a turbocharger with an intercooler. It produces 144hp and 294Nm."- Copied from TopGear DMax column
That has less torque than the entry level Mu-X engine.

Perhaps IPC is really targeting the base and mid-level segments, leaving to the TB to carry the hi-spec crowds. Oh well, more choices for us consumers is always good news.

I wonder though. The 136hp 2.5 and the 180hp 3.0 have the same level of technology on them. In fact, the 4JK1 is a newer engine as compared to the 4JJ1. Why is it that the 2.5 is suitable for local conditions but the 3.0 is not?
