Anybody, any idea why this is so? Is it because Accent is too expensive to be used as taxi and the 30+ km/L is just a hype? Can anyone here share the his experience on the performance and maintenance of Accent, either as privately used car or taxi?

Who would believe on a 30+km/l FC. Kahit pure highway driving lang ay napakahirap i-attain ito using Accent.

Since they are almost the same price of Vios (the lowest trim), why not buy a Vios to be a taxi instead diba?

Cos of the badge hyundai daw kasi. Actually maraming pumakwaw diyan. Ramgen is the one punta ka sa garahe nila in manila.

I remember before there is one company purchase a fleet of accent 200 unit in HARI.

    690,000 on a 1.5 engine?

Well taxi drivers who used this unit, told me that they consume only 800 pesos on a 24 hr service compared to gasoline.

    Shifting * 2000 rpm.

Maybe because it is easier/cheaper to buy a Vios 1.3L and have an Auto-LPG kit installed. LPG is cheaper and parts for the Vios is easier/cheaper to source.

    5 factors.

    1. Expensive
    2. 30km/l isn't achievable
    3. Owning a vios J is cheaper.
    4. You can add an LPG tank to the vios, with that cheaper fuel.
    5. Maintaining a diesel engine can be expensive.

Vios is cheaper though not as hardy as an Altis. Kung Accent e di Altis na lang. Nothing beats a Toyota.....as a taxi!
