marketing term yung synthetic hehe

same here i use Zic UP. here's a pic of the Zic RV that the Kia plant recommends:
i can refer you to jard gerona ng sulit where I bought my Zic UP and Zic A+ for our gasoline cars, just search for "zic oil" dun.

*Fleas: Magkano kuha mo sa 8 liters ng Zic Up?
Is it better than Zic RV?
Thinking of using Zic for my 30,000km PMS then compare ko sa Motul which is damn expensive
Edit: AH. Zic Up pala is Semi Synthetic, tapos RV yun fully synthetic.Last edited by Starex_Gold; January 10th, 2013 at 06:41 PM.

Kay Jard, Zic RV was about P240 per liter (if you buy the 6L container) last September. P280 per liter if you buy per 1L container as of last October naman.
Mga P2K for 8L. Fully Synthetic na. CI-4 pa.Last edited by IMm29; January 11th, 2013 at 09:09 AM.

Yep, semi lang ang Zic UP. i opted for UP instead of RV kasi first 5,000 PMS ko yun. just following the advice of people not to go fully synthetic in the first 10,000 kms. mag-Zic RV na ko when i reach 10,000 PMS ko.
Kuha ko before is PHP 825 / 4L at PHP 225 / 1L from the sulit guy. Tapos there's some guy (midnight if i ever correctly) at Santa Fe Club selling 6L Zic RV at a good price. Sa kanya naman ako kukuha for my next PMS at para sa Santa Fe ng dad ko. Parang naging mausok yun SF with the last oil the casa put.
Okay un Motul CRDI-specific kasi thinner siya at 5W-40. It's just expensive as you saidLast edited by fleas2016; January 11th, 2013 at 09:05 AM. Reason: Hassle!

Teka, Group 3 are the oils that won the legal battle to call themselves "Fully Synthetic", right? Group 5 are the "100% Synthetic" oils?
As for me, I'm happy with Zic RV on the GS. Not the R engine, but requires CI-4. Zic RV is priced like a cheap semi-synthetic (or even mineral oil at casas), so if it is indeed "just" semi-synthetic in spec, ok lang. I'm hesitant to take the GS more than 5,000 kms anyways on a single oil considering it doesn't get much Italian tuneup by being a city dweller.Last edited by IMm29; January 11th, 2013 at 09:10 AM.
