    Good evening po!

kaso po, kahapon, umamin ang SA ko na 3rd week of January pa TALAGA dadating units nila, which led me to think again-

    2010 Tucson GLS A/T = Php 1158 vs S.Forester 2.0 = Php 1358

BUT, with this 200K difference, ang mawawala sa Tucson na meron kay Forester ay
    > AWD

(Tucson)

First Love vs New and ***y???

Salamat and Merry Christmas to all!

hi sir.. this is in my opinion lng po.

if i were in ur situation and i can afford naman the subaru forester, i wouldn't not think twice on getting it. ung AWD and 6 airbags would cost more than 200K i think... kc if u think about it, ung 4WD ng tucson costs around 1.458M which is already more expensive dun sa subaru forester. and this is the model that should be compared dun sa subaru as well since they are on the same class na.

honestly, i also made a reservation for a hyundai tucson M/T GL which costs 988K... but back then hnd ko pala alam na wala pala tong ABS and 1 airbag lng pala ung included dto... so napaisip ako and then i saw ford escape xls model which only costs 999K now.. and in this 999K, included na ABS and 2 airbags... and the only difference will be is ung look... so i decided to get escape instead... but in ur case, both looks ***y for me.

actually gusto ko din ung GLS version nung tucson na worth 1.458M but of course considering my budget and comparing its GL variant with the XLS variant of the escape, it would seem more practical for me to get the escape.

    no offense to tucson owners.

    peace.

    cheers!!!

1st choice ko before ko makita personally sa showroom e ung white, pero nung nasa showroom na kame, nagandahan ako dun sa dark silver, and ung bronze, wala display na white e.

so ayun, sakto aabot ng xmas.

Get the forester.

    Hi BruJuga,

It all boils down to personal choices and what compromises and trade offs you are willing to take when comparing each model. Believe it or not, I do my choosing very methodically...complete with spreadsheets showing comparisons on features, test drives, dealer prices, bank options, freebies, etc. After all, this is a huge investment so dapat lang talagang sure ball sa pag pili.

But when I bought my Tucson ix though, it still came down to mere instinct. I went to the dealer, asked if the model and color I wanted was available and just pulled out my check book for the reservation.

Your vehicle choices are both good. Otherwise they wouldn't be on your shortlist. And you cannot go wrong with the Subaru. It's one solid vehicle and I almost bought it as well. If that's the vehicle I bought, I'm sure I would be in the other forum right now...just equally writing about how happy I am with my new ride (complete with pictures pa)

Follow your heart . At the end of the day, as long as you are happy with the purchase, that is all that matters.

    This.

    It's Subaru. period.

The reason kung bakit di Subaru nabili namin is originally we were gunning for the the less than 1M price tag. the almost 1.2M Tucson was already pushing the limit.

If I was choosing between the 4x2 GLS Tucson and the Forester, and I can push my budget to 1.3M, I'd get the Subaru.

But if I'm choosing between the 4x4 GLS (1.4 almost 1.5M) and the Forester (almost 1.4)... and money is no question... I'd still get the Forester

then again... brand preference is a primary cause of personal bias

I am also resigned to the fact that our unit will arrive January - despite a few SA's promising us we will get ours next week, I don't believe it.

At least hopefully when we get ours there maybe an official accessories list for the new tucson.

Would you choose a Civic 2.0 over an STI?

Subaru is Subaru. If you can afford one and gas is not a problem. Subaru na ako.
Subaru malakas sa gas daw pero MABILISSSS!!

go for the forester kung pasok naman sa budget. medyo mahal nga lang for our budget kaya we opted for tucson.. at 1.158M, you'll get 6speed A/T, leather seats, 166HP engine.. etc. pero ganda pa rin talaga forester hehehe. kung may facelifted na subaru by january why not wait for it na lang... saka kaya rin namin pinili tucson kasi sya yun bagong labas talaga, so for 5 years wala kang iisipin na may bagong tucson model na lalabas..

And why not bring your daughter to a Hyundai Showroom and ipakita ang Tucson IX and ask what she thinks? Her opinion matters, right????

O baka makakita sya ng Genesis Coupe sabihan nya... "daddy i want that sports car... when i grow up, you can give it to me... "

di po kasi lahat ng SA alam ang sinasabi nila kaya they end up eating their words

kaya para po sa mga prospective buyers jan make sure po na competent ang mga SA's na kausap ninyo, during the sales process there are several ways to know if your SA is competent, makikita mo naman sa flow ng conversation nyo kung meron talaga knowledge at dedication sa work ung kausap nyo, and most important is yung meron aftersales service para di kayo iiwan sa ere whatever happens

kung di kayo happy or di kayo satisfied sa kausap nyo na SA you can always ask for a replacement para masatisfy ang needs nyo
