ride ko ay 2007 grx crdi. last week (72, 6++ kms) ay may naramdaman akong ingay o ugong from the engine everytime I accelerate tapos parang hirap ang makina. di naman dating ganun. sabi ng mechanic ay baka sa turbo daw. sabi naman ng assistant niya ay baka sa timing chain. medyo pinagpawisan ako ng malapot dahil any of these items ay di biro ang presyo.
buti na lang at tinanggal nila ang serpentine drive belt (isa lang ang drive belt ng D4CB crdi) at tinapakan ang gas pedal. nawala ang ingay. the culprit? one idler pulley with busted bearings. since the grx has 4 pulleys (kasama na yung auto tensioner) ay nirecommend nila na palitan na lang ng sabay sabay para isang labor cost na lang at baka yung ibang pulley naman ang bumigay later on. tapos ang dami pang binaklas - air filter intake tube, radiator hood at turbo intercooler. ngayon swabe na naman ang takbo niya...
me mga langis sa loob ng intercooler. binugahan lang ng hangin pero syempre nandun pa rin yung mga langis. one of these days ay ipalinis ko ng maige at mag ipon ipon na rin para sa oil catch can.

September 21st, 2012 01:24 PM #62post this at other thread but this i think is more appropriate...just recently my battery (motolite gold-good for 2 yrs & 2 mos) died after making banking transaction as in tulak system na lang ginawa to make it start...have to buy immediately sa nearby shop wanting to try other brand bought GLOBAL 3SMF N70 75D31R 18 mos. warranty cost 4,400 less trade-in value 400 = 4k na lang...any inputs on this brand, the manager/owner mentioned that this brand also comes from motolite to make it more affordable...

After 219,000 km on the odometer, my 2006 manual tranny Starex is finally scheduled to have some clutch parts replaced.
I experienced difficulty in shifting to any gear when I headed out for errands this morning. Was still able to travel about 40 km around the province before the shifter really wouldn't go into gear. It was a good thing I was only 200 meters away from my suking auto repair shop when it happened. My mechanic said it's probably worn out clutch lining. There were no fluid leaks under the vehicle, but he will know for sure when they check in detail tomorrow morning.
Has anyone had clutch parts replaced on their Starex? Ano usually ang mga pinapalitan? Normal ba na around 200,000-km nagpapalit ng clutch (I drive the van regularly from Pangasinan to QC and also up Baguio)?

It is still our favirite for family outing.
Been using this as our workhorse for our sarisari store.
Anyway, it is still my favorite.

The unit is in the province kaya di ko madala kay sir Zix.
Tama po ba yung nasa picture? Diyan po ba nilalagay yung blanking plate?

Mga sir, ano po bang lugnut size ng gen 2 at 3 starex? tried 1.5 lugnuts hindi pasok. maliit.
