I agree about the diesels of hyundai and kia being good. But a recent comparo of the honda crv 1.6d vs a kia sportage 2L show that Hyundai&kia are trailing in the european diesel engines. I really want to try this 1.6D from honda. The 1.6d on the new CrV next year will be an exciting product in Australia next year.

Most accent diesel owner enjoy the savings on fuel.. On my opinion asa pag aalaga at pag gamit ang ikakatagal ng auto. Except na lang talaga kung may factory problem ang napunta sayong unit or may mahinang enginering design kaya madaling nasira..

thanks dct, medyo nacconvince na ako sa hyundai accent diesel ah.. nka diesel ka din ba? so far ba sa mga nka diesel dito ay meron na major repair na ginawa sa kotse nila?

Get the Accent diesel if you do lots of long drives at hindi ka lagi na stuck sa traffic. Kung ang daily route mo maraming short trips, lots of starts & stops, lots of traffic, get a gasoline car. Kung mag ga-gasoline car ka, get a Mirage G4 CVT or a Mazda 2. Matipid sa gasoline ang dalawang ito. The Vios, although bigger, matakaw sa gasolina. As an Accent CRDI user for the past 80k kms, the car still feels like new since the day I bought it. Aalagaan mo lang talaga ang turbo, meaning 20 sec warm up, 1 minute cool down (& that is everytime you start & use the car), quality of fuel you use, regular engine oil/filter & air filter changes, adhere to a strict PMS schedule (casa or not). Avoid excessive idling, like doing a five minute warm up in the morning or leaving the car running W/ the a/c on while parked so that the cabin will be cool when you go back (like what I see in mall parking lots, with the drivers inside). Ito ang reason kung bakit ang Accent taxi mabilis masira.

In terms ng short trips, ok lng nman cguro basta ma maintain mo ung 20 sec. warm up and 1 minute cool down tama ba? and what is your advise if i'm stuck in traffic like in edsa or other places na hndi nman tlga natin maiiwasan? at gaano mo ba katagal yung traffic na dpat iwasan ng accent crdi? like 30 mins. to 1hr?

No choice ka na sa traffic. Hayaan mo na lang. Basta proper cool down. Yan ang importante. At pag magout of town ka pafull tank ka na dito. May mga halo yung mga independent gas stations sa porbinsya e

Your guess is as good as mine. But it will help if you take it out on a long drive occasionally, just to blow off all the soot built up on city drives.

Hi, need help for diagnostic check. My hyundai accent gas automatic car is under 1yr and ilang beses nako namatayan ng makina pag nakastop and gumagalaw/nagrerebolusyon ang rpm pag nakastop. I dont think its normal. Napalitan na ang battery nun motolite. Dahil sa labas ako nagppchangeoil, void na daw ang warranty. Can you please help pointing me to the best place to bring my car for diagnostic check? TIA

Check all fluids?

Seems like an issue with the ignition coil.

Is there aby indicators on the dashboard like check-engine?

guys question, since out of warranty na Tucson CRDI ko, sa labas na labg ako ng casa nagpapa change oil. pero lately napansin ko half full na lang ang mga fluids sa engine bay ko.For DIY top ups, ano ang brake fluid, engine coolant ang gamit ng casa sa hyundai natin. pede ba i mix different brands ng fluids??

Hindi ko alam kung anong brand yung gamit ng casa sa brake fluid and coolant. Yung coolant pwede mo naman ipaDrain tapos bili ng coolant, palitan na lang kung mataas na din naman yung mileage ng unit. Kung malimit bro mag half full yung brake fluids after maTop up, ipacheck mo for leakages.

Coolants i suggest gamit ka na lang ng Toyota na pre mixed. Ss brake fluid any brand will do

Hi. I just bought a used 2014 tucson with 9k km. But the warranty booklet was lost by the previous owner. Mawawalan ba ako ng warranty because of the lost booklet. Salamat.

Question is, is the warranty transferrable? You can drop by hyundai and ask if the vehicle is still under warranty.

With other manufacturers warranty is transferable. Did not want to ask service centers they might try to bs their way out of the standard warranty.

Mag 10,000 Km PMS na kasi ako, around 9K pesos ang quote sakin. Ano ba praktikal na gawin, mag pa PMS sa iba na mawawala sa warranty ang car or stay ako sa casa.

Pwede po bang mabigyan ako tulong kung ano lamang ang pwede ko pagawa, magpapalit pa daw kasi ng spark plug eh
