Hyundai CRDi engine problems?

i have the same problem.. Starex 2006 CRDi.. black smoke when you accelerate.. can we DIY clean the EGR? id appreciate if someone can help!

DBblackswan is correct. In case of emergency you can use your old re-cleaned airfilter. But if you are conservative enough then try bringing a brand new spare airfilter. Guess that solves the problem..

madali lang yan, tanggalin lang at linisin pati ang cooler linisin, ibalik ng maayos wala singaw gasket.

6 months of ownership of a 2015 Accent Hatchback CRDi I managed to clock in 13000kms already. So far, no issues.

Nice to hear that sir. Do you happen to know if your seeing small traces of oil in the air intake and air filter of your hb?

The past month I vacuum off the dirt on the base of the air filter box and I didn't notice any oil in the box. I will check tomorrow when I wash my car. Medyo OA pero sinasabay ko vinavacuum yung ilalim nung air filter box and the engine bay after I vacuum the interior.

Gano katagal na yung HB nyo sir and ilan kilometers na tinakbo? Do you practice proper cooldown and warmup techniques on your engine?
