April 18th, 2008 09:55 PM #43pwede ba lagyan ng 17" rims ang elantra natin? I had just upgraded mine to 15" using 195/55 R15 tires and sa tingin ko tamang-tama lang ang size na to. Pwede pa cguro gawing 16" pero ewan ko sa 17". i'm afraid mag-kocontact na ang tires sa ibang parts especially when turning extreme left or right.

April 21st, 2008 12:23 PM #44Yes you can. I had 17's in my Elantra a long long time ago. Best to use 205/40 R17 tires to minimize rubbing.

AFAIK, you can still put 17s and use a 50mm sidewall tires. Ang stock nga sa states ng 2.0L Elantra is 195/60R 16. 16" mags po yun, not even 15" like in most set up ng 195/60 set of tires.
Ok pala ang Elantra, para pala talagang Lancer. Mas practical pati with the wagon. It's also good to hear na OK ang aircon which is the problems of most Lancer itlog owners that I know.
Btw, with the parts, yung Aranza Auto Parts sa Sauyo rd in novaliches. Dame dun for Kia Pride, Hyundai Elantra and everything Korean dun na ata. HTH

November 10th, 2008 01:48 PM #49coockieXP, nice set of tires there. 17-inchers.. Pero napakanipis na ng sidewall.. How much pressure do you put on those tires? Comfortable pa din ba ang ride especially over bumps?
