    Hi Tsikoters,

    Good day to all. My dad has a 2 year old starex gold crdi AT. It's current ODO reading is 18,000 km.

    Problem: Every now and then, it losses power when running, even travelling at high speed, low speed, going up, going down, or flat roads. The engine will still run, but when you press the pedal, no power at all. The fuel filters has been replaced 2X and other filters, but still the problem is still there. What my Dad does is turn off the engine and restart again. After restarting, it will be back to normal. I used the car for 3 days when I was in the province last week, the problem happened to me 5X. Medyo nakakatakot pag nag overtake ako.

    Hope you can give us any idea, what to check or replace, before going to the CASA.

    limp mode. dala mo na lang sa casa mahirap magkalikot sa makina since under warranty pa baka mawala warranty nyo.

    Thanks for the inputs. Is the limp mode connected with the blocked DPF filters? Thanks

    Hmmm... May DPF na nga ba ang mga local na GS? Not quite sure. The earlier ones did not. Mine's a 2011 unit and as of then wala pa.

    Yebo is right, try consulting the casa and have them diagnose the problem. At least there's a start. Wala bang mga error codes? If you know someone with a scanner, try having them look into this. CVT had a problem with limp mode kicking in, but that was once and it was on a TCi unit.

    mine is local 2011, walang dpf. ewan ko lang sa local 2012 kung may dpf na.

    pero walang kinalaman ang limp mode sa dpf afaik. need nga nya mag-high rev para mag-regenerate ang dpf e bakit mag-limp mode.

    Fuel filter ang naging problem ng Gen 3 CRDi nung friend ko. Nagli-limp mode at 3,000t rpms. Di kaya fuel pump na? Air filter replaced too?

    Walang specific rpm kung kelan nagkakaron ng power loss. I tried to observe kung baka at high RPMs, pero walang pattern. minsan lumalabas kahit mabagal takbo ko at low rpm, even at high speeds na flat roads. Minsan naman nag preno lang ako, dahil may humps, pag apak ko wala na power. magaan lang tapak ko sa gas, I very seldom reach the 3k RPMs. Twice na pinalitan fuel filter, pero ganon pa rin.

    Mga Sir, similar din po ang problema ng GS namin model 2012 less than 20K ang tinakbo.
    Ang problem dati biglang humihina ang hatak tapos pag pinatay mo ang makina at saka i-start uli saka nanaman babalik ang
    hatak nya akala ko kulang lang sa gamit kasi bihira nga gamitin, ngayon ang hirap na mapaandar maputing usok ang lumalabas sa tambutso tapos minsan pag start ng makina minsan
    namamatay sya, yung usok malala talaga akala mo may sunog sa likod ng sasakyan.
    Tulong naman po...
    Gusto ko may maisuggest ako sa dealer minsan kasi di rin nila alam kaya ung mga ideas/opinion nyo mga sir ang kailangan ko.

    Napansin ko naman sir isang beses, pag start ko, maitim na usok, which lasted for 15 secs, then nawala, nag normal na.
