btw hve anyone check in for 1st 1000km change oil? how much its cost? Is it true that u need to change oil for the 1st month even it doesnt reach 1k km? and u need to change oil every 5k km with in three months which ever comes first? it would be costly to maintain 4 pms a year. that means u need to put up 20 k km a year para masulit mo pms mo. masmahal pa sya sa straa which would cost me 1 or twice a year. r they serios abt it, bec. they told me its a mandatory of hari for claing of warranty.

May be the altis g is close pero anung fuel efficiency meron? Hehe parang SA nako ng hyundai ah.. Ang reklamo kulang sa elantra matalbog sa speed bumps nakakahilo. Ü
Well comparing the 1.6 Elantra to the 1.6 Altis, the weight difference is about 25KG, around 50lbs.

Kapag 2.0 Altis vs 1.6 Elantra, medyo mismatch na yan kasi talagang mas mabigat ang makina ng 2.0L.

50lbs - negligible talaga. If there are any differences in FC between the 1.6 Elantra and the 1.6 Altis, then it's probably going to boil down to engine/drivetrain efficiency or the aerodynamics, etc.

Don't follow the months, follow the kilometers. You don't need to visit the casa for PMS if you have a 500km 1 month old car.. eh ano kilangan nila palitan dyan eh hindi pa madumi yun langis?

P.S. Refrain from using text-speak. It's discouraged in this forums and you might get a warning from ghosthunter if he ever sees it.

Follow the kilometers, not the months. Pano yun kunwari 100km lang tinakbo mo sa isang month ? Papa-PMS ka na ? :hysterical: Eh ang linis pa ng langis nun

yes thats what they told me regardless of km reading even 100 km lang tinakbo, gusto bawiin ng H.A.R.I yun 5 yrs warranty nya. 2 casa na ang nagsabi na dapat sundin ( greenhills at edsa balintawak) para hinde daw magkaroon ng loop hole pag mag claim ng warranty.

hhhhmmmm di kaya gimik lang ng casa yan?

I mean is there really such memorandum that came from HARI indicating that these PMS schedules(100 kms inital Change oil) should be done religiously in accordance for warranty claims?

not really 100 km its 1000 km or 1 month, and if it is 100 km and exceeded 1 month you should changed the oil,the rest follows as every 5000
km or 3 months. but i think no one or few follows this condition. specially those who seldom use the vehicle, i average between 10 k to 15 k km a year, but now i have alternative rides i guess 10 k km per year is hardly attainable

ohh I see....but still, IMO 1 month of owning the vehicle and changing its oil even if it hasn't reach 1000kms is still very unreasonable.... unless they tell the owner the reason behind why the change oil should be done on its 1st month of ownership...

Hyundai Elantra Coupe and R-Spec announced for 2012 Hyundai Elantra Coupe to show up at LA Show? — Autoblog "The crew at Inside Line reports that Hyundai is planning to unveil a new coupe version of its Elantra at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The two-door compact would help the 40-mile-per-gallon Elantra compete more effectively against the rival Honda Civic, and as IL points out, the vehicle would also set the stage for an R-Spec offering, as well. According to the whispers kicking around the web, Hyundai may show off a high-horsepower Elantra Coupe later down the line that packs a 208 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, but at first, buyers can expect the same 1.8-liter naturally aspirated four-pot found in the current Elantra Sedan to show up under the hood. Still, that engine delivers 148 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque. Those numbers beat out the Civic by 8 hp and 3 lb-ft of torque while delivering better fuel economy."

Ganda talaga ng Elantra! I am thinking of buying maybe next month. Ilike the 1600 MT only, para mas simple and more economical. Those who already got their Elantras, Is it really good, really worth the price? How about performance and quality? Thanks for any info.

Ummm... ayos lang. I think it will look better in person. W/c reminds me, being fugly is also a selling point in some cars. Just like what scion markets their boxy scion xb as "ugly" in the U.S. hehe
