Just saw a white Accent 1.6 GLS last night... Ganda.
*andretti: Silver yung first Accent RB na nakita ko sa road, 1.6 GLS sa Resorts World.
Hey Fellow Hyundai Accent Owners and Tsikoters,
I love my new Accent! But (aside from the worrisome "Knocking" or "Fuel-Picky" issue thats being discussed now,) There's just one minor issue thats been bugging me...
This car has no BUILT IN CLOCK!
We've had many cars over the years and they always have a clock so ive grown used to relying on it or glancing at it from time to time especially when I drive on long trips.
Even the SA where i bought it didnt know it.. he said theres a clock in the trip meter but i learned that its actually a timer for your distance travelled (w/c is not a bad feature actually)
The CD/Radio has a clock, but you have to press 'display' each time you need it, and its in 24hr mode. And of course it has to be turned on.
Right now it irritates me that I have to look at my celphone just to find out what time is it while driving or pressing the radio's display button. (I long ago stopped wearing watches since i carry celphones and other gadgets.. lol...) In fact I just put my Celphone in the celphone holder (It doubles as my GPS as well when i need it) so i can check the time, but backlight goes off so u still have to press it to wake it up)
Im wondering if it bothers some of you guys out there as well?
Im thinking of buying a small digital clock I can just put somewhere.. but the few i looked (like in CDR King) doesnt look "cool" enough.
Besides they might be dim lit and as much as possible i dont want to put sticker on my new dash to affix it there
Can anyone suggest a better option? (Aside from using celphones and wristwatches..)
Like I said, its a minor thing for me, but na-O-OC ako e.. hehe![]()
It's easier to sell the car than to rant everyday..
Joke. Congrats sir! Haha
like i mentioned on the other thread, shell unleaded na yung gamit ko ever since. i only filled my Accent with petron unleaded once, pero 1000 pesos lng. after that, shell na ulit. i honestly didn't notice any difference though. ngyon, i'll stick with shell stations kung san ako nagpapa-gas talaga, to avoid that knocking problem (if i don't have it yet hehe).![]()
The Accent has a CLOCK. But you need to buy the TOP OF THE LINE!
But seriously that's quite a bothersome thing... I also look at the clock frequently even sa city driving lang...
One way is to buy those TYPE-R accessories na makikita mo sa mga hardware shops like Ace or True Value. Meron mga clip on clocks. Not sure how it is powered though...

Yes sir, puro good feedbacks sa shell dito sa forums, yung petron naman one Accent owner used unleaded from feb. pero ala naman daw knocking sound. So better try other brands as well Sir lalo na kung out of the way ang shell station, para malaman niyo differences.
Sir, its better lipat tayo ng thread sa kabila, parang nasa wrong thread tayo..hehhe
Not big deal with the clock.
It seems the Accent was not designed to have a dedicated clock (typical of this class of vehicles). But it does not mean, it does not have one.
And you dont need a TOTL to get have one, btw.
For the 1.6 GLS Blue, the clock is already integrated in the audio system screen (located top right of the screen), which BTW is nearly the same implementation as the one in the Fiesta (screen on the center dash).
For the 1.4 GL, the 1-din radio headunit has a clock display. 1-din w/ clock function
Not a big deal to me as well, I usually look at my watch.
Not deal breaker for me...
Nah, wala na/pa. If you'll just read and pay attention closely makikita mo na yung purchase date eh Sept. 2008 & 1.5L siya.
And if you backread a little makikita mo na tinanggal na siya from the list by Starex_Gold kasi this is for 2011 Hyundai Accent owners ONLY
& kung ang tanong mo eh kung mayron pa available wala na rin most likely ...
