Hi to all, I'm ken. i got hyundai that i just bought 2012 AT, 1.4 , apparently, my brother used the car and hit my tail lights, then nag crack yung tail light, ask ko lang po kung kaya ba i cover ng warranty yun or may option ba na pwedeng tanggaling yung cover nung tail light then yun lang yung papalitan.. ang tanong ko naman san kaya ako makakakuha nun.? hope you can help me po! Thank you.

sorry but i find it ugly.

the accent is not a sports car so a quad pipe, a huge ass spoiler and huge custom kits doesn't really fit.

to each his own though

yep..I think the owner went a 'little' overboard with this one..

Few things I noticed that were a bit 'tacky'..

-chromed door handles
-fake carbon roof
-black rear skirt/ground effect
-lip spoiler
-front plate hider/holder
-(clifford) sticker on dash
-deep white rims....why?
-misaligned right pipes..possibly damaged
-black mesh grille
-black plastic trim above rear plate
-...
-...etc

sir renzo, so far this is the most economonical car I've had. I average around 11-12KM/Liter on mixed city-highway traffic. Around 60% highway, 40% City.

During our holy week trip, I logged around 16KM/L on highway with a trunk load of beach outing stuff, my wife, my yaya and one in-law... This is based on manual computation as the trip computer computed a much higher mileage w/c is 5.8L/100Kilometer or roughly 17.24KM per Liter...

Sa knocking naman, I guess my car was able to dodge this headache. I don't know what's special w/ this unit. I guess I call it luck, kasi may kabatch ako sa dealer, the same AT unit, grabeh knocking... It's the only unit I tested na nagknoknock. Hehehehe, but it only comes out when feathering the gas, but pedal to metal, wala naman... Pero as posted, I've got few weird problems. Velocity Joint ticking when shifted to drive or reverse, Unusual sound when turning right (Felt like one component is rubbing on the other), and Rear Hub bearings...

I'm glad that my dealer, address these issues professionally and I don't have to raise my eyebrows to claim warranties on these defects.

Wow that's impressive! I`ll be happy if the Accent does 11-12km/L city driving.

I've been doing a little backreading and it seems that the knocking issue is no longer evident on newer batches especially on MT units (which I have plans on getting). Hopefully, the issue wouldn't show up anymore.

Minor problems are acceptable, no car is made perfect anyway. The FD had a share on this, quite costly if you ask me (engine support + tensioner gave up right after the warranty!), the Vios & 10th gen Altises had very minor and very fixable rattle issues etc. but I'm hoping, for the Accent, it wouldn't be as troublesome as what others have experienced.

One reason why I am looking for a reputable dealer over here in MM, I want them to address the problems (if there will be) as fast and as professional as possible.

If ever, I'll be joining you guys soon.

I picked Greenhills from the list that our purchasing sent to me for the reason that they offered the better package. I hope to get the car by June. Sana okay din customer service.

First dealer I went to was Greenhills as well. Will check out Hyundai North Edsa & Balintawak probably next week. Hope to get the car by June also.

Accent na pala trip mo bro, parang last week lang City 1.3S ah. Why the change of mind? Rio 1.4EX di mo trip?

Yup. Was weighing both things out and saw the only advantage that the City had was it being a Honda.

The Accent offered a larger interior space, more power, and is more bang for the buck as well.

Fuel efficiency should be similar for both.

When I went for the Accent, I've saved roughly a good 140-150k.

Checked on the Rio as well. Nice features but wasn't impressed by the sedan's look. Siguro kung may Rio HB MT then I'd surely change my mind.

sir renzo, aside from the price diff , bat hindi ka nag elantra mt? kung di lang ako nakaorder na at intransit na yung unit ko (kakahiya sa agent ko magpalit, brinaso pa naman yung order para magkaron ako ng unit), malamang nag elantra mt ako.

sound proofing ng accent not so good. pag nasa slex ako and traffic, rinig ko yung mga lower frequency sounds. pag umulan naman, rinig mo yung tama ng ulan sa top ng car.

sir malakas ba talaga sa gas ang 1.4 M/T accent.. last feb 2012 lng sya mga sirs. bakit kya lakas sa gas. parang 6-7km/L lng sya

Yong unit ko po sir is 1.4AT, and pinakamababang Fuel Consumption ko ever recorded is 9KM/L. This is city traffic.. On hi-way cruising speed, i got around 16K/L, my normal day to day FC (40% City, 60% Provincial Hi-way) 11KM/L

I'm now running 17" Volk RE30s on my Accent. Anybody know where we can locally source out lowering springs for the 2012 Accent? Sa mga naka-lower na, saan nyo binili at pinagawa? Thanks!
