Very elegant yet sporty choice bro! I was wondering... papano kay papalakasin yung headlights without resorting to hid? Would really appreciate your inputs meikey. Guys, if you have suggestions too... please share http://5175.voxcdn.com/forums/images/smilies/agree.gif

sir AFAIK may ibang alternative na bulbs na mas malakas sa stock halogen aside from using HID. Like Osram Nightbreakers, Philips Xtreme Power. Yan po magandang alternative if you don't want to use HID. HTH

^^ pero hindi po siya kasing lakas ng HID, pero you can see the difference from stock halogen bulbs.

    ^^ sir meikey,
Medyo nosebleed ako nung binasa ko instructions hehehe. You lost me at red wire. Bilib talaga ako sayo. Pag ganyan wirings na pag uuspan i leave it to the pros.

Kaya, ang ginawa ko, doon ko binase yong installation, and used my electronics knowledge to finally integrate the cluster.

As posted in the picture, yong wire no. 14 sa diagram, yan yong linya to light up the indicator. Sa pagkakaalam ko, as well as what we have performed on my unit, gumawa sila ng separate circuit using separate relay.

sa foglight installation on my accent, this is what we did...

Yong relay has nos. 30, 85, 86, 87 (Bosch Relay)

Yong no. 30 (Power Source), tap it to the IGN. (make it sure also na you had you 10Amperes Fuse na nakaseries on that line)
    * Ang mangyayari nito, sa OEM setup, the Foglight will only light up when the key is turned to ON Position or the engine is running. Some installations, they tapped it to the battery. Remember that Foglights, on stock configuration has a total of 54Watts (27 on Left, 27W on Right), kaya tendency if you leave it opened while the power is not coming from alternator may drained your battery.

Yong No. 85, tap it to the Park Light's Ground Terminal.
    * Ang mangyayari is the fog lights will light up only if the parklights is switched to ON Position and when the Ignition is in ON Position. I saw other installations, na itatap nila ito on the body ground. What would happen is independent yong Fog Lights mo sa Park Lights w/c is not advisable.

Yong No. 86, tap it to the Multi-Function Switch (Positive w/c pin no. 2 sa multifunction switch), yong Pin No.1 ng multifunction switch, ibody ground yan... Kung mapapansin mo sa diagram, naka-tap cya sa Low Beam ng Headlight, kasi sa US & Canada, the fog lights will turned off if naka-high beam, w/c makes sense naman...

Yong No. 87, positive out na yan, connect it to the positive terminals of the Fog Lights, Negative terminals of the Fog-lights, pwedeng i-Body Ground.

And lastly, tap the #14 wire sa instrument cluster harness (As seen on my earlier post) to the #87 Relay. Mas mabuti rin na lagyan mo ng resistor (recommended is 560ohm 1 Watt +- 10% Tolerance na Resistor) ang linyang yan to suppress current surge from that line. Though it would also generally lower the light intensity ng LED by a bit, but not that much...

    ^^

when it comes to horn upgrades, kailangan talaga tanggalin yong bumper. But it shoulden't give you much of a problem as this is a common procedure lang ng mga shops.

yes kailangan talaga ibaba ang bumper. kay jemson ko na pinakabit para isabay sa back-up sensor and alarm.

Ako din, parang nabasa ko din yan...I was assuming that Maspro is installing the Fogs with the OEM switch.

    * sir meikey
    re: fog lamp installation

    1. sir meikey ask ko lang sa iyo since na disect mo na yung wiring under dash...nakita mo ba kung existing yung front fog lamp relay (RLY2 - this is a pcb mounted micro relay located at the rear portion of I/P junction box, see SD100-1)

    2. and also existing din ba yung front fog lamp wiring harness socket EGG43 (front fog lamp LH) and EGG53 (front fog lamp RH) located on left/right side of front end module just beside the fog lamp itself. (see CL-1)

    note: all reference came from hmaservice (accent (rb) > 2012 > G > 1.6 GDI u.s. version)

    thanks in advance sir meikey

Yong sa relay ng RB sir, hindi ko na hinanap but I did take note on that...

The wiring harness and the H2 sockets, yes they are existing sir... Ang ginawa ko, I bought my own relay, and tapped the stock harness to my relay.

Ang pagkakaiba kasi sa setup ng RB than most Asia Pacific released units, yong positive actuator signal ng relay, nakatapped sa HeadLamp Low Beam Positive, passes through multifunction switch for switching, then terminated to pin #86 of the relay, Pin #85 (Negative actuator signal ng Relay) is tapped to body ground.

Ang mangyayari nito sir, is when you set your headlights to high beam, yong fog-lamp would be off, pagbalik mo ng low, tsaka iilaw naman uli. Although it makes sense naman kasi when your on high beam, I think the illumination is more than enough that you no longer need that extra illumination coming from your fog lights.

However most Asia Pacific setup kasi, nakatapped sa parking lights yong fog-lights. However, foglights will light up only if and only if the IGN is in ON position & the park light is switched to ON. This is to protect your battery from draining out if you leave your park-lights on while the engine isn't running. Kaya if you leave them both park lights + fog lights open, then you turned off the engine, the fog lights will be off, however the parking lights remain open...

Like I said on previous post, you have 54 watts of total load for the fog lights, now if your fog light's power source is tapped directly to the battery, and you leave it open for a significant amount of time (park light + fog lights), tiyak drained yong battery mo.

    Accent Owners Good Day!

I would like to ask several questions about the specs of your new toy, and hope that this is the correct thread since I am shopping in for a car in this price range. And the killer looks is definitely a plus.

For the M/T owners and in the know are these deal breakers?
    > Lack of steering wheel tilt adjustment
    > The lack of safety components like ABS and airbags
    > Rear seats fixed
    > Hubs instead of Alloys

    Appreciate all your inputs.

thanks a lot for the input sir meikey. base on the diagram (SD924-1) it is clearly indicated that fog lamps will turn on (assuming IG2 is switch to on) only if the low beam is switch on. (pin1 is shorted to pin14) of the multi-function switch. and if you set the headlights to hi beam the path is diverted to pin 13 that trigger the hi beam, low beam and fog lights turns-off. so kung isasabay ang fog lamps sa park lights pin 1 should be cut from pin 14 and tapped it to pin 7 of the multi function switched. fog lights will only turns on only if the IG2 is set to on position. if IG2 is off then park lights lang ang sisindi.

Kapag nag pa install outside hyundai mawawala ba warranty? Overpricing kasi sa kasa 7,500.
