2011 Hyundai Accent issues, problems in general

regarding sa alarm / central lock, ang naging problema sa akin yung module mismo. mag deactivate yung alarm, pero half open lang yung door locks. since natapos na ang warranty ng alarm, i had it changed sa malapit sa amin. double check ng electrician and pinakita sa akin yung problema. ayun, pinalitan at nawala na rin sakit ng ulo ko hehehe.

malapit na rin yung 15K pms ko. meron din akong naririnig na ingay sa front, left side area. pag napadaan sa lubak with certain speed, tawid riles. i'll have this check sa tunasan.

Yung alarm ko, pina check ko na sa Supplier (somewhere in Sta Mesa, near SM centerpoint). Nagtataka din sila ok minsan, pero minsan ayaw talaga (its a good thing lumalabas yung sira while there.. baka kasi minsan "takot" yung sakit sa mekaniko ayaw lumabas pag nandun ka na e.. hehe) I also brought the never-used spare key/alarm and parehong ganun. Hindi naman Battery because when it works, kahit malayo (as in 10 cars away or even from inside a building) e abot naman. Finally they gave me a NEW MODULE which made me very happy, first time ako naka warranty Free replacement... but then bumalik na naman problem ko ngayon (though not as bad before). haay, wonder what the probem is...

But more important subject:

Yung sinasabi mo, looks like a Rack and pinion probem (I think, Im no expert). Look at the posts above (in this page) SPEEDY, BATANG_RAON, ME and now YOU (ERJ22) have the same problem.

Look at Batang Raon's post and my reply... Tawid Riles din ang napapansin nya.

Finally, (if its ok with the mods) I created a thread "Hyundai Rack and Pinion problems/warranty) to hopefully discuss his problem specifically. . Just imagine in this page alone there are FOUR of us with this issue...so If its ok with you, maybe we can discuss this matter over in that thread?

Good day mga Sirs,

I am a new poster here but have been reading posts from time to time.

I hope senior forum members and auto enthusiasts can help me with my Hyundai Accent 2011 M/T problem. We have the unit for 2 years now, the problem is before kami mag pa 20,000kms service, meron na kami napansin ng wife ko sa unit. When it reaches 68-70 up, we noticed medyo maingay ung engine na parang nakamuffler and you feel vibrations in the steering wheel and accelerator. Then pinaservice ng 20kms in Hyundai Abad Santos hoping na mawawala yung problem, pero meron pa rin. After three days, binalik ko sa casa para ma-check uli. Nilinis yung kinakabitan ng air filter kasi medyo madumi daw. Hindi namin na road test with the mechanic kasi traffic na that time because it's 4pm na and umuulan. So sabi ng service personnel, observe lang daw namin if ganon pa rin ang issue then balik uli namin sa kanila.

My question is, does anyone of you encountered this issue with your unit? Do you have any idea kung ano po yung problem?

Eto ba yung pag mabilis? Takbo then every step parang nakamuffler na?

Mines got it too, but its not a problem kase medyo minimal skin although parang hirap na nga yung makina esp on 100 hehe

So far wala ako prob s rack and pinion, anu ba tunog pag lumiliko? Im nearing my 2 year pms dis december, kaya tmtingin nadin ako ng pptingin ko

Problems:
1. Rack and pinion due for replacement under warranty. I reported that there was some noise when steering.
2. Alarm and central lock: Reported several issues 6 times already. Every time they fix something, the fix lasts only a few days or months, and then the same or different problem occurs... And right now, this is the 7th time I reported an issue (some doors not locking).
3. Shift shock (when I reported it, they simply cleaned the spark plugs... surprisingly, the occurrence lessened.)
4. Engine knock. They upgraded ECU and luckily it worked for me.
5. Soft shocks. I will request this to be replaced, as I believe there are some owners who have already changed theirs under warranty.

Mga sir. I'm planning to buy 2011 accent. Sa daming issues na nabasa ko sa car,masusuggest niyo pa ba na bumili ako. ng 2011 accent or to find another brand of car? If ever heto yung magiging first car ko. TIA!

Mga sir, baka po pwede nyo ako matulungan. I just started having problems sa busina ko. Minsan kasi hindi sya tumutunog. Ang ginagawa ko eh ippress ko sya ng ilang beses til it comes back. Bakit po kaya nagiging ganon? Iniisip ko na parang battery sya na nawawalan na ng power kaya minsan di na tumutunog. Pero the problem is, minsan it works fine naman. At kapag gumagana sya, malakas din naman yun tunog. Di ko lang talaga maisip bakit minsan nawawala-wala sya. TIA

Those encountering shift shocks: might be worth paying a visit again to your local dealer. After reporting high fuel consumption to HARI, they referred me back to Hyundai Dasma which did an ECU remap to the car. Shift shocks gone, and fuel consumption back to when I first bought my car (prior to all the ECU upgrades to fix the supposedly fixable engine ping / knocks on minimum octane rating-approved by the manufacturer)

Ano ba sir ngyari sa accent mo? Gano kalakas yun naging fuel consumption? At yun lang yung nireport mo and not the shift shock?

grounding issues. most probably mahina ground dahil nakakabit sa painted part. or probably lose wiring kang.
